JazzyFi is a simple, small MIDI Chord/Strum Generator for creating lo-fi, jazz, and hybrid JazzyFi chord ideas with expressive strum movement.
Technically, JazzyFi is an Audio Unit MIDI FX / MIDI processor. It generates and transforms MIDI chord data, so it is designed to be loaded as a MIDI effect in compatible hosts, not as a standalone synthesizer or audio effect.
At its core, JazzyFi has two simple musical functions: Chord and Strum. Generate rich preset chords, then move smoothly from clean chord hits into animated strums using the pitch bend wheel. Instead of drawing notes manually or building complex MIDI parts from scratch, JazzyFi lets you shape harmonic movement in a playable, hands-on way.
The app includes 60 musical presets across three categories:
• Lo-fi — warm, relaxed chord moods for chilled beats
• Jazz — more sophisticated keyboard-inspired harmony
• JazzyFi — a hybrid blend of lo-fi color and jazz chord language
Strum mode adds motion, direction, and rhythmic variation to your chords. Choose different strum directions such as Forward, Reverse, Outside In, Inside Out, Bass First, or Random Once, then shape the playing feel with Tight, Loose, and Wild modes — from smooth, even chord rolls to more human, uneven, and broken strum patterns.
JazzyFi also includes MIDI Learn for mapping key performance controls, making it easier to control Strum, Feel, and Mode directly from a MIDI controller.
JazzyFi is designed for producers who want fast musical starting points, especially in lo-fi, chillhop, jazzhop, ambient hip-hop, and mellow electronic music. Many presets include refined jazz-style keyboard voicings, making it easier to bring richer harmony into your tracks without stopping the creative flow.
