Version 1.4.1 brings picture frames to widgets and collages, and Live Photos to the camera: • Picture frames: put an oak, walnut, black or gold frame round each photo or round them all, in widgets and in collages. • Hang a widget on a wall: choose from six wall backgrounds, and turn on Match Photo Shapes so no photo is cropped. • Set each widget's spacing, corners and background color in Settings > Widgets. • The camera takes Live Photos: tap the Live Photo button beside the flash, for full-quality 4:3 photos. • Importing a Live Photo of a photo you already have now asks which to keep, instead of dropping its motion. • The viewer's More menu opens straight to its actions, and Move to Recently Deleted is in it on iPhone. • Fixed a thin line that could show where a wallpaper's fill meets the photo.

Version 1.4 lets you edit photos and make new pictures out of them, all on your device: • Edit photos: crop, rotate, flip and straighten, adjust, and apply filters. Every edit is saved as a copy, so the original is never changed, and a copy reopens with its edit ready to change. • Change a photo's date, caption or location right in its file. • Live Photos and animated images now play, and Live Photos keep their motion when shared in or out. • New Studio tab: split a photo into pieces, merge photos into a collage, make a wallpaper, or lift a subject. Choose photos from your vault or straight from the Photos app, preview before saving, and optionally save a copy to Photos. • Collages: drag the dividers to resize frames, keep every photo's own shape, and add spacing, rounded corners and a background color. • New Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets: Photo, Album, Photo Grid and Lock Screen Photo. Each shows only the photos or the album you choose in Settings, and four sets let widgets of the same kind show different photos. • Use a keyboard on iPad to move through the grid and the viewer and to drive the editors. The shortcuts are listed in the FAQ. • New Auto-Play and Loop Videos settings, a choice of app icons, and the grid remembers its zoom. • A Select All button in the grid, Add Media and Sort in an album's own menu, and an Info sheet that adds the kind and file size.

Version 1.3 makes finding and capturing memories more powerful while keeping them private: • Private Smart Search finds photos by the text in them, by what Vision recognizes in them, and by how they look — analyzed on your device, with a separate index for every vault. • Quality Capture supports configurable 24/48 MP photos and 720p/1080p/4K video, plus an always-visible Silent/Quality switch. • Subject Studio can refine a photo subject, copy or share it as a transparent PNG, save it to a vault, or prepare a subject-aware wallpaper on iOS 27. • Compose wallpapers by positioning and scaling a photo with Natural, Gradient, or Solid fills. • The library grid now zooms smoothly under a pinch instead of jumping between column counts. • New private shortcuts open Search or the Camera without exposing media or vault names. • Redesigned Settings clearly separates app-wide preferences from current-vault controls.

Version 1.2.1: • Added a new FAQ in Settings, including an illustrated guide to saving photos from X. • Added a dark appearance app icon. • Made iCloud Drive libraries much faster to open by skipping unchanged files, with new controls for offloaded-file downloads. • Photos open faster, show a thumbnail while full resolution loads, and transition more smoothly. • Improved the responsiveness and reliability of favorites, album moves, grids, and popover menu actions.

Version 1.2 brings full video support: • Import, organize, filter, and play videos alongside photos. • Record video with audio using the built-in camera. • Choose a default vault for Share Extension imports. • Improved vault switching, iCloud Drive scanning, accessibility, and stability.
