Record one swing with your phone, and Apex analyzes your body's movement frame by frame, then scores your mechanics against reference data from professional players. THE MODERN TENNIS SCORE One number out of 100 for your forehand, backhand, or serve — built from five measured dimensions of your technique: - Preparation: unit turn and take-back timing - Rotation: hip and shoulder drive through the swing - Contact: where and how you meet the ball - Balance: posture and stability through the stroke - Recovery: how you reset for the next ball It's a technique number the way a handicap is a golf number: portable, comparable, and trackable. "My forehand: 72" starts a better conversation than "I think it's getting better." WHAT APEX IS NOT Apex is not a match tracker, a line caller, or a shot counter — other apps do that well. Watch first, then analyze • Tap any shot in a session to watch its clip, analyzed or not. The wand analyzes it. • Each shot shows what it has: a wand for a Premium analysis, a coach's photo for a coach's notes. • Pin your favorite shots. Pinned shots come first. Hitting partners • Tag the people you play with and send them their shots. They're told when new shots arrive. • Partners has its own page under your picture, with each partner's details. Help when you need it • Every session and stroke has Help at the bottom right, explaining that screen. • Something in an analysis doesn't make sense? Tap "I'm confused" and tell us. • Request a coach's analysis of any stroke, free. • A coach's notes now show their picture. Tap it to see who they are. Credits and passes • Buy credits and Unlimited passes in the new Store. • When a pass is active, its icon in the header shows it. Sessions and recording • Sessions load faster, and a shot opens on its picture straight away. • Shots past a recording's limit stay on your phone for 30 days. Pick which ones to send. Also • A new look: a new typeface and lighter icons throughout. • During a phone call, a clip says it can't play instead of doing nothing. • Rate Apex from the menu. • Clip times read to hundredths of a second. • Fixed stroke lists that repeated or skipped shots, and pictures that went black after a while.
