Revayo Translate is a native Mac app that translates text in 112 languages using the AI model you choose – OpenAI, Claude, any model on OpenRouter, or a local one running through Ollama.
Most translators lock you to one engine. Revayo doesn't. Provider and model are two fields in Settings, so you can switch whenever a better model comes out, or run a private local model when your text shouldn't leave the Mac.
TRANSLATE FROM ANYWHERE
Press ⌥⌘T to translate whatever's on your clipboard, in any app. Or select text and use Translate with Revayo from the Services menu. The source language is detected automatically, translations stream in word by word, and your frequent languages move to the top as you go.
MAKE IT SOUND RIGHT
Pick a translation style – or refine any result with a follow-up instruction: "shorter", "more formal", "keep the slang". You can even edit the prompt behind it all.

SEE WHAT IT COSTS
Revayo logs prompt and completion tokens for every request, plus the dollar cost when your provider reports it. On the cheaper models, a dollar of credit covers a few thousand short translations. With a local model there's no cost at all. History keeps your last hundred translations a click away.

• API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain, one per provider
• Requests go straight from your Mac to the provider you picked
• Point it at a local Ollama model and your text never leaves the machine

What's New in 1.1.0
• Swap languages no longer loses text. If the translation matches your text, the two sides just trade places, with no new request. If you edited the text after translating, it stays put and only the direction flips.
• Copying is easier to find. The copy button now shows its shortcut (⇧⌘C by default) and confirms with "Copied".
• Translation time is now shown next to the token count and cost.
• OpenRouter: choose which providers serve your model (for example cerebras/fp16, groq). You can also turn off fallback so requests never go to other providers. Set this up in Settings.
