PunchKit 1.11 brings optional iCloud backup sync, offline backup-library imports, and clearer restore compatibility guidance. • In Backup, enable Sync Backups with iCloud Drive on each device using the same Apple account. Existing archives are copied and verified; local originals are retained. The library shows upload/download status and offers a download action for cloud-only backups. • Turning sync off copies available cloud backups back to local storage without deleting cloud originals. Deleting an iCloud backup affects synced devices, but retained local originals remain independent. • Add one or several PunchKit ZIPs or TE Sample Tool device-level PAKs to the backup library without connecting an EP. Original source files are kept, and duplicate filenames do not replace existing copies. Share archived files or connect an EP to restore them later. PAK sample preview is not supported. • New project, bank, and full-backup manifests include source SKU when available. Cross-model and unknown-source restores require a separate warning and acknowledgement before Restore Anyway. You can back up the entire connected device first. Approval applies only to that restore attempt and connection session. • Restoring native project data between different EP models is not verified and may leave the device unusable until a factory reset that erases all projects and samples. Choosing Restore Anyway does not bypass archive-integrity checks or PAK storage and write-protection checks. • Project and bank switching now stops device playback first, avoiding active-target changes while the EP sequencer is running. PunchKit 1.10 adds TE PAK device restore and a more responsive Mac experience. • In Backup > Restore, choose TE PAK to import a user-supplied Teenage Engineering device backup or factory-content PAK. • PunchKit validates device compatibility, all nine projects, every WAV, protected slots, and available storage before changing the connected EP. The confirmation shows the expected overwrite and deletion impact. • Samples return to their original numeric slots and projects return to slots 01–09. Factory restores require typing OVERWRITE, and the active project is left unchanged. • Factory sounds and PAK files are not bundled; the selected file remains under the user’s control. PunchKit 1.9 makes USB recording clearer. • REC > Audio Setup now keeps RECORD INPUT visible whenever a connected route exposes multiple stereo input pairs. Choose MAIN, CH1, CH2, AUX, or the available equivalent pair to record the intended USB channels. • PLAYBACK + MONITOR remains separate from RECORD INPUT. Monitoring can stay off while recording, helping avoid feeding PunchKit’s output back into the EP return path. • Recording setup guidance now explains the difference between the pair being recorded and the separate playback/monitor route.

PunchKit 1.8 makes live performance safer to leave and easier to recover. • Switch from MIDI Playground to REC to enable monitoring without losing active MIDI machines. Return to MIDI Playground to see the same playing state and stop it. • ALL OFF now sends standard All Sound Off and All Notes Off messages across every MIDI channel, including notes left behind after navigation. • Chord Machine adds explicit high and low chord registers, with normalized transport controls and clearer chord feedback. • Devices with USB input but no separate stereo USB return can monitor through the built-in iPhone or iPad speaker. It also brings the major performance and workflow improvements across the board. • Open MIDI Playground from Kit Builder and layer independent Chords, Melody, and Bass machines on a connected EP. • Start and stop each machine separately. A running part keeps playing while you open another machine or leave MIDI Playground. • Use Auto Key in each tool header to follow a stable live-input key estimate, or set key, mode, and scale manually. • Use PunchKit-owned selector panels for MIDI Playground presets and harmony controls; tap anywhere inside a bordered control to open it and choose an option. • Shape chords with diatonic, borrowed, or chromatic harmony, extensions, compact two-column voicings, inversions, strum, humanization, randomness, velocity, and octave controls. • Adjust chord feel with strum order, groove, timing, humanization, velocity, and release controls while the active chord machine is running. • Lock arpeggios to exact EP MIDI clock with musical rates, triplets, swing, note count, gate, and pattern controls • Build melody and bass phrases on 16-step note grids with note-name playhead feedback.
