Repetitio schedules your reviews using **FSRS**, a modern, research-based spaced repetition algorithm. It tracks how well you actually know each word and brings it back right before you'd forget it. No guesswork, no wasted repetition.
Walk Mode — learn without a screen
Slip your phone into your pocket. Walk Mode reads vocabulary, sentences, and examples aloud in a steady, hands-free loop — perfect for a walk, a run, a commute, or a gym session. No tapping, no glancing at a screen — words sink in purely through repetition.

Repetitio uses the voices already installed on your iPhone. iOS ships with compact voices by default, and they can sound flat and mechanical. To hear the real difference, add your favorite **high-quality (Enhanced/Premium) voices** in: **Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices**. It's a free change built into iOS, and the improvement is immediately noticeable — the sooner you do it, the better your learning experience.

Want to go further? Unlock expanded vocabulary packs: nearly **1,000 of the most common words** in your chosen language, plus a second pack of **1,000 phrases** written in a more formal, academic register. These expanded phrases are machine-translated — clearly and honestly — yet beautifully read aloud, so you can hear how the language actually sounds spoken, almost like a native narrator.

Does the app work offline?
Yes — learning, reviews, and voice playback all run locally, without an internet connection (except for the one-time download of additional vocabulary packs).
How many languages does Repetitio support?
Dozens of languages available right after install, with the option to expand vocabulary in selected language pairs.
What's the difference between Walk Mode and FSRS Mode?
FSRS Mode is active learning with "know / don't know" reviews, adapted to your memory. Walk Mode is passive, voice-only listening on a loop — hands-free, ideal while moving.
Why do the voices sound robotic?
You're probably using the default compact system voice. Add a high-quality voice in iOS Settings (see the tip above) — the difference is instant.
