Missed calls, finally. A call nobody picks up now stops ringing on its own, and everyone who missed it gets a Missed call in Alerts, a line in the chat, and a notification that takes them straight back to the chat to call back. Old "incoming call" notifications clear themselves once the call is over. Fixed: on some phones Maylay could get stuck on the loading screen until you closed and reopened it. It opens every time now.

Sign in with Apple or Google. One tap, no password, no code to type. Already have a Maylay account under that email address? You land right back in it. New here? Pick a username and you're in. Paddleboarding is now a sport on Maylay. Add it to your favorites, rate yourself, post a paddle session, and find partners near you. Type "SUP" or "stand up paddleboarding" anywhere you can type a sport and it finds you. Recurring games finally say so. A game that runs every week shows its pattern — "Every Wed · 6 PM" — on the feed, in your Lineup and on the venue sheet, instead of the date it first happened. The Live filter knows about them too, and they no longer drop off after their first date. Also in this update: • A game you post from the Game tab stays a game, even when it reads like a training session. • Joining from an alert or the game screen always opens the game's chat. • Sport search understands alternate spellings in every picker.

A fix for a sign-up that could fail at the very last step. If your phone was still holding a login for an account that no longer existed — one you had deleted, or one that was removed before you finished setting it up — Maylay treated you as a brand-new user, walked you all the way through setup, and then refused to save with a confusing message about a database migration. It now notices the dead login the moment you open the app, signs you out cleanly, and tells you plainly to start again. If you ran into that error: delete and reinstall Maylay, then sign up again. Everything else is exactly as it was in 1.0.2.

Say you run a team. There is a Team Captain switch on your profile now — turn it on, pick the sports you captain, and a badge shows up on your profile so players can tell who to ask about joining. It is just a label you give yourself, not a verification, and nothing in Maylay is locked behind it. In Search you can narrow the player list to captains, or hide them. Find people for your team. Open a team you created and tap Manage, and there is a Recommendations list: players who could fill your spot, with anyone who has posted that they are looking for a team at the top, then by skill level. Each one shows their level and their community rating, and you can invite them straight from the list. Only you see it, for teams you created. Search anywhere, not just cities. The City filter is now Location and it takes whatever you give it — a neighborhood, a county, a whole state, a pin you drop on the map, or one of the Isla Vista spots by the name people actually use. Rec Cen, Estero, the Greek. Once you set one, you only see what is happening inside it. Alerts you can actually tune. The daily cap used to cover nearby events only. It now covers player matches and friend suggestions too, so one setting holds the whole lot down. Chats and invites are never capped — if someone is talking to you, you hear about it. Location stopped nagging. When Maylay asked to use your location, the explanation in that box was so long it pushed the choices underneath it off the screen. "Allow While Using App" was there — you just could not reach it or scroll to it. The only button you could tap was "Allow Once", and iOS throws that permission away as soon as you leave the app, so Search asked you again every single time you opened it. There was no way out of the loop, because the button that ends it was the one you could not see. The explanation is short now and all three choices fit. Pick the one that keeps location on while you are using Maylay and it stops asking. You can rate Maylay whenever you feel like it. There is a Rate Maylay row in the profile menu now, next to Help Center and About, and it takes you straight to the App Store. The old button only worked some of the time, and only if the app happened to ask you first. Nothing asks you for a rating any more. Choosing a spot on the map asks once. The map picker in the composer was requesting location permission every time it opened. It checks what you already said first. Searching your own state works. Typing "california" used to bury California itself under a pile of towns. It comes first now. You can also fix the location prompt yourself without updating, on any version: iPhone Settings, then Maylay, then Location, then "While Using the App".

Search by city. Pick a city and the list and the map show only what is happening inside it, so you can look at a town before you get there. Searching for games now turns up "looking for a partner" posts too, and you can filter by your own dates, by morning, afternoon or evening, and by skill level. Photos and clips show in full. No more tops and bottoms cut off a portrait shot. Faster invites. Starting a message or inviting people to an activity puts your friends at the top, and you can tick off several at once instead of adding them one by one. Friend requests, sorted. What came in and what you sent are their own tabs now. Share with anyone. The link you send now tells whoever gets it how to open the activity after they install Maylay - they tap it again and land straight on it. Scores that stick. Rating a game or a player saves what you typed, every time. Times that read right. Start times are cleaner and a game never shows up a day early. Alerts that arrive in time. Something starting in the next few hours now reaches you even on a busy notification day. Plus Spanish throughout the new screens, and a round of fixes.
