Group calls are more reliable: they no longer end on their own after a few seconds. If you're dropped from a call you were added to, you can now rejoin it. Adding someone who's already on another call no longer disrupts your call. Fixes and polish throughout.

Group calls: everyone in a group now joins the same call. If someone needs a newer version of Graf to join, you'll see who. Calls between iPhone and Android are more reliable, with clearer Ringing and Calling states. Go Indirect: your private line is ready in seconds. Messages no longer show "Not sent" after a brief network blip. Faster, smoother chats and many reliability fixes.

Voice messages can now be sent in a changed voice. Turn it on in Settings, or per chat, and record a preview of your own voice to hear how it sounds before you send anything. A new look throughout: a calmer colour system, a redesigned dark mode, and a new app icon. Fixed: a disappearing message could keep showing its text as the last-message preview in your chat list after it had already been destroyed in the conversation. It no longer does. Also fixed: several places where the wrong colours made text hard to read, and a number of smaller rough edges in the chat list and settings.

Fixes calls that connected without sound or ended shortly after answering, and calls placed while the phone switches between Wi-Fi and cellular.

Fixes the crash when coming back to Graf — a second cause behind it, in the chat list. Dictation no longer leaves your message in the box after you send it. The chat list now shows whether your last message was delivered and read, so you can tell without opening the conversation.

Improvements and fixes.

Calls no longer ring for a call that has already ended. If you were offline when someone called, your phone stays quiet and the missed call appears in the chat at the time they actually rang. A finished call no longer leaves a notification behind. Deleting your account now takes effect immediately and no longer asks for your password: confirm with Face ID and your username, and the account is disabled before the app confirms it.

The minimized call indicator is now a floating pill you can drag and park anywhere — it can no longer sit on the back button or cover the message field. Fixed: tapping the message field could jump the conversation far back into history, and opening a chat could drift off the newest message. Hardening: a panic, duress or remote erase now removes everything it should — including the cached chat list, staged voice recordings and cached network responses — and remote erases triggered by a trusted contact or by inactivity now wipe this device too.

Bug fixes: • Scrolling a conversation now works wherever your finger lands, including directly on a message. Fast flicks are fixed too. • Holding a message to react no longer also opens the photo underneath, uses up a one-time message, or places a call. • Swiping a message to reply is steadier and no longer triggers while you scroll. • Diagnostics shared from Settings no longer include account identifiers. • Stability and reliability fixes.

Calls • Fixed calls ending unexpectedly — sending a photo or verifying a contact during a call no longer hangs up. • Verifying someone during a call now completes properly, and tells you when it's waiting on the other person. Mentions • Mention people in group chats with @ and pick from autocomplete suggestions. • Messages that mention you stand out in the timeline. Photos • Fixed photos opening to a blank screen that could only be closed by force-quitting the app. • Fixed pinch-to-zoom getting stuck zoomed in. • Picking a photo now shows a preview so you can confirm or cancel before sending. • Fixed sending and opening photos in indirect chats. Reliability • Fixed opening the wrong conversation when tapping a notification, and drafts appearing in the wrong chat. • Fixed a freeze when opening one conversation right after leaving another. • A message that fails to send now says so, explains why, and can be retried or removed. Speed and polish • Conversations open faster and settle without jumping. • Unread messages now show a badge on the app icon. • Fixed an oversized call bar that could cover the screen after minimizing a call. • Fixed the passcode screen appearing with a stray keyboard over it. Privacy and security • Indirect chats now keep every action on their pseudonymous identity. • You can verify a contact directly from their profile, with clearer status when a device or contact isn't verified.
