ReinTrace: Riding Journal
Lesson Notes, Horses & Video
Only for iPhone

New: bring the riding videos already on your phone into your journal. ReinTrace sorts them into sessions by date, and you set the horse and occasion in one step.
Remember what your trainer said, what works on each horse, and the moment in the video when it finally clicked.
ReinTrace is a riding journal for lessons, practice, clinics, shows and trail rides. A note takes seconds, and a few words are enough.
EVERY HORSE, EVERY INSTRUCTOR
Link each note to the horses you ride and the instructors you learn from. Open any horse or instructor to see everything together.
KNOW EACH HORSE
A profile and a Playbook for every horse: what works, what to watch for, how to warm up. Read it before you get on.
IMPORT YOUR RIDING VIDEOS
Bring in the videos already on your phone in one go. ReinTrace groups them by date and turns each session into a note.
YOUR SKILL MAP
Track the skills you're working on, from first try to comfortable, and see the rides behind your progress.
YOUR MONTH IN THE SADDLE
A recap of every month and year, ready to share as an image.
SLOW IT DOWN, MARK THE MOMENT (RIDER PRO)
See what your legs and hands really did. Slow a clip to half or quarter speed, mark the moment the canter finally came through, add a note and zoom into the saved frame.
EVERY HORSE'S CARE IN ONE PLACE (RIDER PRO)
Farrier, vet, dentist, deworming and more, with notes and photos, and when each was last done.
No account, no ads. Back up your whole journal to a file, with or without the original videos, and restore it on a new phone. Videos stay in your photo library, so keep the originals.
Available in English, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Italian, Swedish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Polish, with light and dark mode.
Rider Pro is an optional in-app purchase. Everything else in ReinTrace is free.
