On Mac, Sonement becomes a full desktop controller for your home, with music browsing, search, rooms, queue and playback always close at hand.
On Apple TV, browse music and control playback from the biggest screen in your home.
And Apple Watch keeps essential playback and volume controls on your wrist.

Sonement is now free to download. Try everything for 7 days, then unlock it once, with no subscription. If you already bought Sonement, every device recognises your purchase automatically and there's nothing more to unlock.
Sonement is ready for the foldable iPhone.
Closed, it works like the iPhone you know, with the tab circles and your controls moved to the side of the screen so the music gets the full height. Open it and every page uses the room: Home shows your shortcuts beside what's playing, Rooms shows the list beside the room you chose, a room shows its speakers beside its queue, and albums, artists and playlists keep their artwork in view while you scroll the tracks. Fold it halfway and everything settles on either side of the hinge; the player, the queue and your shortcuts never land on the crease. Search keeps your recent searches on one side and results on the other, and the full player opens as a card with the artwork beside the controls.
iPad now works like the Mac. One header carries your room, Settings, Search and the Inspector on every page, and each page keeps its own actions on the page. The sidebar shows every room's name in full with what's playing beneath it, and the Inspector is a column you show or hide beside the page, with the queue, playlists and audio settings in one place. The player is the only thing floating over your music, and opening the app shows one clear state while it finds your speakers.
Every room's Speakers card is now the same on iPhone and iPad: the group, its volume, Match Volumes and each speaker, in one place. Buttons never wrap onto two lines, however narrow the screen. Library Insights fits every screen size, and the Favourites and Playlists lists match History.
Lyrics stay in time. Sonement now matches lyrics to the exact version of the track that's playing, follows the music between position updates, and lets you nudge the timing a quarter second at a time if a track still runs early or late — each track remembers its own setting.
Also: tapping a playlist, album or song on a music service page always opens it; songs open their album with the track highlighted; service pages load from top to bottom without tiles moving; playing a service collection uses the same path on every device, so it plays in order.
Announce now shows how your voice note is doing on every speaker — sending, scheduled, playing or played — and if it finishes after you close Announce, a short note tells you how it went.
3.2 Oct 10
This update makes Sonement steadier and more consistent.
Tapping a playlist, album or song on a music service page now always opens it; songs open their album with the track highlighted, and a small note badge marks song tiles. Play from the tile's play button or its menu. Service pages load in order from top to bottom, so tiles no longer move while you tap.
Playing a service playlist, album or artist now uses the same path on every device, so whole collections play in order. Library Insights lays out more cleanly, and the Favourites and Playlists lists match History.
3.0.1 Sep 29
iOS and iPadOS package
Sonement 3.0 is our biggest update yet.
Spotify and TIDAL now play fully in Sonement. Albums, playlists and artist top tracks start as a whole, in the right order, with proper titles and artwork in your queue and saved playlists. Service pages add Made For You and Recently Played shelves, an Artists section built from your library, find-in-library, Lossless badges, saving to your library and playlists, Go to Album and Go to Artist, and Start Radio. Services load faster and open instantly when you return.
Artist, album and playlist pages have been rebuilt to share one design across Apple Music and every service: a Latest Release card, a swipeable Top Songs grid, an About section and full-width shelves.
Whatever is playing now wears a glass speaker badge everywhere, with the time left counting down. A playing album or playlist shows the badge in any room, even after you reopen the app, and pressing Play again returns to it instead of adding another copy.
Add to Favourites is now available in every context menu. Volume steps change group volume accurately, and can be turned off in Settings. Portable speakers show their battery level under the icon, and the iPad sidebar now lists your music services first.
Library Insights, a new experimental view of your Apple Music library, is in Settings → Experimental. Wording is more natural across all seven languages.
Grouping rooms no longer shows a false error when the speakers group successfully. On iPad, lists no longer scroll behind the player bar. Artist pages now look the same wherever you open them from. Library playlists can be added to Favourites, and songs added from your library keep their titles in the queue and in saved playlists.

Sonement 2.9.5
Make Home your own with a grid of controls for music, rooms, zones, volume, and sleep timers. Touch and hold a control to rearrange or remove it. The Home screen now shows the active household, and the mini player keeps the playback destination in view.
Browsing feels more consistent across iPhone and iPad: the iPad player stays in place as you move between pages, and more sheets and controls follow your chosen colour palette. Opening Apple Music now checks your access automatically, avoiding an extra Connect tap when permission is already available after reinstalling.
The included Apple Watch app adds zone management and clearer volume adjustment with the Digital Crown and step buttons. Home Screen and Control Center controls can use your saved pins.
2.9.5 Sep 23
iPhone and iPad
Create and edit saved zones from Rooms, choosing which speakers belong together. Use Match Speaker Volumes to bring adjustable speakers to the current group volume, with clearer numeric volume levels beside the controls.
Personalise more of Sonement with improved palette support across Rooms, Search and other screens, plus controls to edit and delete your custom palettes.
Sonement now follows playback started from the Sonos, Spotify and Apple Music apps more reliably, keeping rooms, track details, artwork, volume controls and the mini player in step.
Queue handling is clearer too. Sonement now distinguishes an active Sonos queue from playback managed by another app, so an old inactive queue is no longer shown as what will play next.
This release also improves grouping and reconnection, rapid playback controls, Apple Music Recently Played, household refreshes, widgets, purchase restoration and access synchronisation across your supported Apple devices.
Apple Watch
Create, edit and delete saved zones through your paired iPhone. Clearer numeric volume levels and improved Digital Crown handling make speaker adjustments easier to follow.
Playback and room information now refresh more reliably after the companion iPhone app reconnects or relaunches.
Sonement now hides inactive queue contents while another app manages playback. Queue and favourites actions also handle live radio correctly, and playback controls remain available when pausing after a trial ends.
This release also improves widgets, purchase access synchronisation and companion-app communication.

ANNOUNCE ACROSS YOUR HOMES
Record a short voice message and send it to selected compatible Sonos speakers, including speakers in another household accessible through your linked Sonos account. Remote destinations require confirmation before sending. Supported speakers pause or lower music during the announcement, then resume playback.

Give each speaker household a familiar name and optionally remember which one you use on each Wi-Fi network. Improved household recognition and service connection handling help keep the right rooms and music services together.

WHAT'S NEW IN 2.3
FILTER SEARCH BY SOURCE
Search results now carry a source filter with live per-source counts. Turn off a catalog you don't want and the list rebuilds instantly — and if you filter out the source behind a merged row, playback promotes a surviving one, so a row always plays from where it says it will. Over-filter and you get a clear way back with one tap.
GROUP VOLUME YOU CAN TRUST
The group bar is now derived from the speakers underneath it rather than read separately, so the master and per-speaker bars can no longer disagree. If another controller — or someone's hand on a speaker — changes a level, the group bar follows immediately.
LOCK SCREEN AND DYNAMIC ISLAND
Now-playing with transport and volume controls on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and volume controls added to the widget family.
DARK MODE, PROPERLY VISIBLE
Room cards, chips, capsules and progress tracks used a fill that all but vanished against a black background. Every one of them now uses an adaptive surface that reads clearly in dark mode — light mode is unchanged.
IPAD: MUCH CLOSER TO THE MAC
• The player bar adopts the Mac's three-region layout — track identity, centered transport with scrubber, volume — instead of the phone's
• The right-hand rail's Audio section is real: per-room Bass, Treble, Loudness, Night Sound, Speech Enhancement and Crossfade. It previously showed a relabelled queue
• A proper vertical room stepper replaces the cramped pill
• The sidebar no longer draws the phone's toolbar inside its own panel
• The rail's playlist picker uses the full row width
A FIRST-RUN WELCOME
A full-screen welcome panel with the animated orb on first launch and after an update, with proper attribution for the services you connect.
TAP ART, PLAY THE SONG
In Apple Music, Recently Played and Top Songs tiles now play on tap, matching every other place a song appears. Everything else stays on the menu.
POLISH THROUGHOUT
• One consistent page margin across every full-width surface
• "Add Source" is now a button beside Connected Services, not a fake tile
• Rooms opens at the top instead of part-scrolled
• Larger, easier volume and transport targets
• Faster now-playing updates and fewer stale reads after a track change
Thanks for using Sonement. Bug reports and feature requests are always welcome.
