Shoe Sherlock: Shoe Finder
Ranked picks for how you train
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Tell us how you train and get ranked shoe picks, each with its reasons. Free, with no account. Pro adds Fit Scan, with a one week free trial, then the plan price.
Shoe Sherlock ranks shoe picks for how you train, each with the reasons it made the list. General picks are free, with no account needed.
Pro adds Fit Scan: three photos of one foot estimate your arch height, foot width and how your foot rolls, and Pro ranks shoes using that scan. Try Pro with a one week free trial, then a paid subscription unless you cancel.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose your activity: running, trail running, walking, gym and training, weightlifting, casual athletic and more.
2. Tell it your experience and how often you train.
3. Get up to five ranked shoes, each with the reasons it made the list, plus estimated weight, drop and cushioning where we have them.
4. With Pro, add Fit Scan, your fit preferences, favourite shoes and budget.
FIT SCAN (PRO)
Three photos of one foot: top, side and sole. Fit Scan estimates your arch height, foot width and how your foot rolls, and gives simple advice on fit.
Fit Scan is a guide, not a diagnosis. If you have foot pain, please see a podiatrist. Photos are not kept by Shoe Sherlock. They go to our AI provider, Mistral AI, for analysis, and Mistral's own retention terms apply.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Fit Scan is now part of Shoe Sherlock Pro. General shoe picks stay free, with no account needed.
• The finder's last step now asks what you'd like more of in your next shoe, such as extra heel cushioning or a softer landing.
• The Pro screen now spells out how renewal and cancelling work, and switching between monthly and yearly plans is more reliable.
