Animal identification now shows active scanning, reports when no animal is found, and recovers cleanly from slow or unavailable connections. You can cancel and retry a scan.

Identify animals from photos you already have. Tap Photos on the camera screen, choose an animal photo, and save the discovery to your collection. Your original photo stays unchanged, and imported discoveries are saved without automatically adding your current location.
