HOW IT WORKS You pick a language and a neighborhood. Isabel writes to you first, and through her you meet her circle one person at a time: her oldest friend, the neighbor who hears everything, the one who feeds everybody. They have their own lives and their own week, and they text you about it. A question, some gossip, a favor to ask. You reply because you want to know what happens next. Their story runs on its own clock, with or without you. Miss a day and the neighborhood carries on. Come back and they fill you in, the way friends do. CALL THEM, TOO Tap the phone icon in any chat and practise speaking out loud. They answer in their own voice, with live captions. Each call comes with a few small goals and a hint in your language when you are stuck, and afterwards a recap shows what to fix and lets you replay what they said. They will not always pick up: when they are asleep or busy, they text you back. HELP WHEN YOU WANT IT, NEVER IN THE WAY • Tap any word for its meaning and how it sounds • Translate a whole message into your language with one tap • Ask the professor, your built-in tutor, about anything in a message, right there in the chat • Stuck on a question someone asked you? Tap the question mark for the question in your language and help writing your reply CORRECTIONS THAT DON'T INTERRUPT Slip on a word and it gets a soft underline. Tap it when you feel like it: the fix, the reason, and a quick exercise to practise it. The conversation never stops for it. A LEVEL BASED ON WHAT YOU ACTUALLY WRITE Every message in your own words tells Palabria where you stand. It notices what comes naturally and what still trips you up, and your people steer the conversation toward what you should try next. Your profile shows all of it in plain language. No points, no leagues, no tests. MESSAGES THAT FIND YOU IN REAL LIFE A notification while you wait for your coffee, from a friend who happens to write in the language you are learning. That is the whole idea. WHO IT IS FOR Anyone who has learned words in an app and still freezes in a real conversation. Anyone who wants a reason to open the chat, not a reminder to do a lesson. Beginners get short, patient messages. Advanced learners get slang, jokes and people who push back. SUBSCRIPTION Palabria is a subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial. It includes every language, every neighborhood and every conversation, with no ads and no extra in-app purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your App Store account settings.
