RA: Void Runner
Space smuggler trading game
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
The Broker fronted you a ship and a mountain of debt. What happens next is up to you.
Void Runner is a fast, replayable space-trading game with two ways to play. Chase a ranked high score in a 50-jump Score Run, or build something that lasts in Void Career — an open-ended campaign of 20-jump chapters with three hulls, three factions, and three endings.
TRADE BY THE CRATE
• Buy low, sell high across eight tiers of contraband — from cheap Spice to priceless Ambrosia
• Move real tonnage: trade by the 1,000-unit crate and grow your hold from 4 crates to 100
• Rack a Crate Bay for cheap crates-only capacity, or stash crates in station lockers where patrols can't touch them
• Read the market: prices spike and crash, and the smart runner is already holding when they do
SCORE RUN — 50 jumps, one score
• Every run is a fresh seed and a race against compounding interest
• Climb the ranks from Void Debtor to Legend of the Fringe
• Fly the Daily Run — the same galaxy for everyone, every day — or send a challenge link so a friend can race your exact galaxy
VOID CAREER — an empire, one chapter at a time
• Choose your hull: the balanced Runner, the slippery Dart, or the heavy-hauling Hauler
• Take freight jobs off the station contract board and answer to chapter directives
• Three factions push prices around; earn standing and build your own freight depots
• Win one of three endings: Freight Empire, Syndicate Crown, or Clean Horizon
THE VOID PUSHES BACK
• Customs patrols and pirate raiders hunt loaded ships — fight, flee, bribe, or buy them off with cargo
• Refit at the shipyard: bigger guns, faster engines, heavier plating, deeper holds
• Random events keep every run different: salvage finds, dock thieves, black-market deals
• Pay the Broker's debt before the compounding interest eats you alive
• No ads
• No in-app purchases
• No account, no tracking — plays fully offline
• In 12 languages
Slip the patrol. Pay the Broker. Run the void.
more A fresh coat of paint. Ships, ports, crew and the cockpit are redrawn as smooth, detailed artwork, and every port now has a sharper, larger view from the dock. Jumps stay inside your cockpit: watch the port fade into warp and your destination rise into view. New loading screen, a simpler fixed cockpit, and a lighter download.
3.1.7 4d ago
Fixes a bug in the last update where starting a run could leave you on a blank screen. Runs, the market and the docks all load normally again. Sorry about that, and thanks for flying with us!
3.1.6 6d ago
A smoother run through the void. This update improves responsiveness and stability throughout the game, cleans up the interface, and gives each destination its own clearer arrival artwork.
3.1.5 Oct 3
A lighter, cleaner Void Runner. The download is now under 40 MB — about a third smaller — so it installs faster and takes less room. Ships now wear just their main paint colour, with nothing stuck on top: no badges, emblems, stripes or bolted-on add-ons. Keepsakes and cockpit trinkets have been retired, and milestone rewards now focus on the paint colours you can earn.
3.1.4 Sep 30
Your paint job, done properly. Every hull colour and finish is now drawn into the ship itself, so steel, oxide, sand, navy, moss, ivory and plum all look clearly different, with no washed-out film on top. Rust, cockpit glass and lights keep their own colours. Upgrades like cargo pods, drives and weapon racks now look bolted on in the same pixel style, and emblems sit on the hull as proper decals.
3.1.3 Sep 24
Ship paint fixed: hulls no longer look washed out. Your colours now tint the ship instead of covering it, so the rust, panels and cockpit glass show through again.
3.1.2 Sep 23
Fixes Void Runner closing straight away on launch on iOS 27. Your saves, Careers and ships are all still there.
3.1.1 Sep 19
VOID RUNNER 3.1 — THE PIXEL PASS
• A whole new look: every port, hull, raider and portrait redrawn as 16-bit pixel art, all sharing one 40-colour palette
• The download is a quarter of the size, so the game loads faster and takes far less room on your phone
• Ship customization is now all about the outside: paint, finish, pattern, emblem and engine glow, seen straight from the market dock
• Hull paint is a true recolour that keeps every panel, weld and scorch mark underneath
• Crew missions now pay out a hull unlock you can actually see
3.1.0 Sep 16
VOID RUNNER 3.0 — YOUR SHIP, YOUR CREW
• Hire a crew: six recruits with their own jobs, wages, morale, training and personal missions. Pay them well — unpaid crew walk
• Build a fleet: collect six vessels, each keeping its own name, gear, damage and history
• Make it yours: paint, finishes, emblems, captain outfits and cabin keepsakes — looks you earn stay unlocked for every future Career
• Save a ship photo with your captain and crew and share it
• Richer voyages, a unique rival ship for Sable Venn and livelier ports
• A much smaller download
3.0.0 Sep 14

2.5.0 Sep 8
THE GUNNERY UPDATE — combat you can feel, routes you can read
• Real combat: your ship recoils, the bolt flies, the raider flashes and shakes — and fires back
• Jump planner overhaul: every port shows combat odds, its faction, what it buys cheap and pays well for, your cargo's last quote, and what your own ports need this week
• Paint jobs now tint your hull instead of washing it red
• Lighter menus: the Broker, Records, Pause and Locker open straight to their controls
2.4.0 Sep 3
THE SIGNAL UPDATE — hear the void, feel the controls
• The entire soundtrack re-scored: real string, brass, and choir textures, a 48-second epic title theme, and chill moods for laid-back ports
• All 20 sound effects rebuilt as physical sounds — switches, latches, servos, and hull resonance instead of arcade blips
• Buttery-smooth animations: tactile button presses, a refined jump sequence, calmer reveals

• Lossless chiptune soundtrack — all 41 tracks in studio quality

2.2.0 Aug 28
THE LIVING MAP — your empire now breathes
• Every port you own posts one need each week: deliver the goods and it LEVELS UP — bigger yield, stronger control
• Ignore a port and its faction leans on it: control slips day by day, and a port left contested too long gets seized
• The morning report now warns you — what's slipping, what's contested, what each port wants
• Control bars and levels on every map tile
• Fresh App Store gallery — including the galaxy map
2.1.0 Aug 22
VOID EMPIRE — the galaxy is yours to own
• New home screen: a persistent map of all 39 ports across four sectors
• Buy control of ports during Career runs; they stay yours across every run
• Owned ports pay into your treasury every hour you're away (up to two days) — collect each morning, draw it aboard at any dock
• The map opens after your first completed Career chapter
ALSO IN THIS UPDATE

2.0.0 Aug 21
NEW SECTOR: THE IRONREACH
• 8 lawless ports unlock at Chapter 6 of your Career
• Run sci-fi weapons — Arc Lances, Ghost Rounds, Null Charges, Void Mines — the richest cargo in the void
• Weapons in your hold draw patrol heat everywhere you fly
• Build a criminal empire: buy rackets at Syndicate ports for income every jump, at the price of permanent heat
• New victory path: Made Man → Kingpin → CRIME LORD

1.16.0 Aug 7
Crates got bigger — much bigger.
• A crate now holds 1,000 units; your hold spans 4 to 100 crates.
• Everything carries over: stored crates, in-flight careers, and your personal best.
• Ranks retuned for the larger economy.
• Every port now has its own theme — 21 new station tracks across the frontier.
1.15.0 Aug 2
Crates are the whole game now.
• Your hold is measured in crates: start with four, grow to one hundred.
• New Crate Bay upgrade: cheap racked space that only whole crates can use.
• The trade sheet always quotes the crate price — and says exactly what's missing when you can't fill one yet.
• Ranks rebalanced for the bigger economy; your personal best carries over.
• Career: operating costs and capacity milestones retuned for crate-scale holds.
1.14.0 Jul 31
Fits your phone better.
• The title screen now scales down for smaller iPhones, so the wordmark, mode cards, and buttons all sit comfortably instead of crowding the edges.
1.13.1 Jul 27
Bulk hauling, storage, and a Career worth finishing.
• Trade by the 100-unit crate — move real tonnage in one tap.
• Crate Locker: leave crates in storage at any dock. They're off-ship, so patrols can't seize them.
• Void Career: choose your hull (Runner, Dart, or Hauler), take freight jobs off the contract board, and win one of three endings — Freight Empire, Syndicate Crown, or Clean Horizon.
• Three factions now push prices around, and standing lets you build your own freight depots.
• New runners get a four-step guide through their first trade.
• Rebalanced Score Run ranks, and every menu now scrolls properly.
1.13.0 Jul 26
VOID CAREER — a whole new way to play.
• An open-ended smuggler life alongside the classic 50-jump Score Run: 20-jump chapters, each with a directive to chase.
• Pay your dues at every chapter review — or Go Loud, keep the cash, and raise the heat.
• Two new sectors with 20 new ports unlock as your career deepens: Riftward Reach and the Black Meridian, each with its own skylines and music.
• Build reputation, survive rising threat, and retire with your Legacy — or lose it all.
• A calmer jump planner with sector tabs replaces the long destination list.
1.12.0 Jul 24
Smooth sailing in the Hangar.
• Fixed: the Hangar and Shipyard could refuse to scroll when you swiped on their title or edge areas. The whole sheet now responds to a swipe, anywhere above the Cancel button.
• Fresh App Store screenshots showing the redesigned fleet.
1.11.1 Jul 22
Trade with confidence.
• Every station now spells out its typical buy and sell ranges, so you can plan a route before spending a day to jump there.
• Live prices show exactly where each quote sits in its normal band — and a real PRICE SPIKE or CRASH is now clearly flagged instead of blending in.
• The Hangar scrolls properly now, including when you swipe on the ship preview itself.
1.11.0 Jul 21
The whole fleet, redrawn.
• Every ship is now a hand-built 16-bit sprite in three-quarter view — the Runner, Dart, and Hauler each get their own silhouette, armor plating, glass canopy, and animated engine glow.
• Pirates and patrol cutters were redrawn to match, so every encounter looks the part.
• Your ship shows its actual installed gear — weapon, engine, plating, cargo, and battle damage — everywhere it appears.
• Arrivals now show a full report when several things happen at once, instead of hiding all but the last.
• Cleaner combat readouts and better reduced-motion support throughout.
1.10.0 Jul 19
A fresh coat of paint.
