Every habit shows its whole month on your home screen. One tap: Held or Slipped. A slip is a crack, never a hole: your number dips a point and heals as you go.
Most habit apps run on streaks. Miss one day and the counter smashes back to zero, so your brain decides the whole thing is blown and you quit. Notch is built on the opposite idea.
Notch tracks your consistency, not your streak. Hold a habit about 80% of the time and you get almost the same result as a perfect run, and it actually survives a bad day. One slip barely moves your number. Nothing ever resets to zero.

Your headline is a forgiving consistency percentage: held days √∑ logged days over the last 30 days. A single slip nudges it a point or two, then it heals as you keep going. The streak is still there, as the small number, allowed to break without the run feeling lost.
HONEST BY DESIGN
• Strict mode, if you want it: a day you never logged counts as slipped once it's older than yesterday. Off by default, computed, reversible.
• Your reason, in your own words, kept under the month for the days that get hard.
• A share card of any month's wall, drawn in paper and ink.

• A home-screen widget shows your month, your number and your streak at a glance.
• One optional evening reminder, plus per-habit reminders if you want them. Never nagging.
• Backup and restore your whole wall as a file. Export to CSV any time.
