Notes generate reliably on protected accounts. After you record a meeting on an account with protected notes, your notes now appear when they are ready instead of showing an error. Export to Word and PDF works again for protected accounts. Pick Word or PDF from the export menu, then save the file or share it as you did before.

Protected notes for new accounts: when you create an account, your saved notes and transcripts are protected with a key that only you hold. Autopen cannot read them unless you choose to share a copy of your key. Your 12 recovery words: Autopen creates your key and shows you 12 recovery words to write down. They are how you get back in if you lose this device, so keep them somewhere safe. Optional spare key: you can choose to let Autopen keep a copy of your key. If you do, Autopen can let you back in when you lose your recovery words. You can turn this on or off at any time in Settings. Restore on another device: enter your 12 recovery words to unlock your saved notes and transcripts on a new device. The screen for entering your words is easier to use. Other fixes: titles in your list no longer show as untitled for protected notes.

Protected notes: when protection is enabled for your account, new transcripts and notes are encrypted on your device and Autopen cannot read them. Live captions keep working on protected accounts, reconnect after interruptions, and show wall-clock times; the running caption text stays on your device. Recording continues behind other apps' audio, and Ask searches your meetings on your device.

Recovery: if a transcription fails, Try Again resumes with your saved audio instead of discarding it. If you're offline, Autopen tells you right away and keeps your audio. More reliable uploads for long meetings on slow connections. Notes now show which model generated them.
