Selecting and reading long output got easier. Selection now scrolls past the edge. Drag beyond the top or the bottom of the window and the terminal keeps scrolling, so a selection can span more than one screen instead of stopping at the edge. Command history keeps the output. Open a command in the History panel to see what it printed, and copy it with one button. Commands that failed are marked, so a long session is easy to scan. Jump between commands. Command Up and Command Down move to the previous or the next command and briefly highlight the one you land on.

Noden now reaches into your browser. The vault that holds your server passwords can also fill your login forms — without passing your passwords through the browser. BROWSER EXTENSION FOR CHROME, SAFARI AND FIREFOX Open a login page and Noden finds the matching Vault entry. One click fills it. When you copy a password, Noden places it on the clipboard itself, keeping it out of the browser. Noden also asks before saving a new login or updating a changed password. For two-step logins, the verification code is requested only when the second screen appears, so you always get a fresh code when you need it. UNLOCK THE VAULT ONCE PER SESSION Settings > Security now lets you choose when Vault authentication is required: • Every time • After 5 minutes • After 30 minutes • Until Noden quits GROUPS IN THE VAULT Vault entries can now be organized into groups, just like connections. Drag and drop entries between groups to keep credentials organized. IMPORT AND EXPORT Encrypted .noden backups can now carry both connections and Vault entries together, protected by a passphrase you choose. Noden can also import exports from: • Bitwarden • 1Password • LastPass • Chrome PRIVACY MODE Click the eye icon to mask usernames and server addresses with asterisks while keeping your own connection names visible. Perfect before taking screenshots or sharing your screen. DELETE EVERYTHING FROM ONE PLACE Settings > Data now lets you remove Vault entries, connections and command history from one screen. Noden shows exactly how many items will be deleted before you confirm. Passwords and 2FA seeds are removed from macOS Keychain as well. This release comes almost entirely from one customer's list. Thank you. New: groups inside groups A group can now hold other groups, so the sidebar can follow how you actually work: a company, then its data centre and head office, then the VLANs inside them. Right-click a group and choose New Subgroup, or type a path straight into a connection's Group field, like PTT/DATA CENTER/SYS_Vlan. Nothing changes for the groups you already have. They stay exactly where they are. New: put connections and groups in the order you want Drag a connection onto another one to place it above it, or onto a group header to move it into that group. Drag a group header to reorder groups, and a line shows you where it will land. The order is saved, so you no longer need to number your servers by hand. New: you can see which server you are on The sidebar marks the session you are looking at with a coloured row and a bar down its left edge. Sessions that are connected but sitting in another tab get a lighter version of the same mark, so "connected" and "in front of me" are two different things at a glance. Fixed: the tabs in the connection editor could pile up on top of each other On some Macs the seven tabs across the New and Edit Connection window were drawn in the same spot and became unreadable. Noden now draws its own tab strip, so the layout is the same on every Mac, screen scale and language. Fixed: a duplicated connection jumped back to its old group Duplicating a connection gave the copy the original's position in the list. Two entries then shared one slot, the order shifted between redraws, and moving the copy to another group looked as if it had been undone. Renaming a group also used to throw away your manual ordering. Fixed: a restarted server left a black tab When a Windows machine restarted, the session kept showing the last frame, a black rectangle, with no sign of what was happening. The automatic reconnect also gave up on its first try, because the server was not answering yet. Noden now shows the connection screen with "Reconnecting...", keeps trying for two minutes, and offers a Reconnect button if that is not enough.

Most of this release comes from one customer's report. Thank you. Fixed — the connection editor's tabs could overlap On some Macs the tabs across the top of the New/Edit Connection window ran into each other and became unreadable. The window was too narrow for seven tabs once the labels were translated, so the strip compressed them on top of one another. The window is wider now, and the tab strip is rebuilt when you switch protocol. Fixed — keys that never reached the remote computer • Enter on a numeric keypad did nothing in a remote desktop session. macOS treats it as a separate key from Return, and it was missing from Noden's key table. • F1 – F12 were not sent either. If your Mac is set to use the media keys, hold fn. • The right Option key now acts as AltGr, so the characters a European layout puts there — @ \ | { } — arrive correctly. The left Option key is still a plain Alt. Fixed — Esc is usable again in a remote desktop session Esc used to leave full screen and never reach Windows. A single Esc now goes to the remote computer; press it twice to leave full screen. Control-Command-F still works. Fixed — you can start a new connection while full screen Command-N, Command-T and Command-P were opening windows behind the full-screen session, so nothing appeared to happen. Full screen now closes first and the window is where you can see it. New — Option as Meta, for shell shortcuts Settings ▸ Terminal ▸ Keyboard has a new switch. On, Option sends the shell's Meta prefix, so Option-B and Option-F move by word and Option-Delete deletes a word. Off (the default), Option types special characters — on a Turkish layout Option-Q is @. New — Noden now shows you the shortcuts people were missing A card appears the first time you go full screen in a remote desktop session, listing the shortcuts that work there, and once when you open a second tab, to show that a tab can be dragged out into its own window. Both can be dismissed for good. The full list lives in Help ▸ Keyboard Shortcuts.

Run a program instead of the Windows desktop Remote desktop connections gained a Programs section. "Start this program on connection" publishes a single program in place of the Windows desktop. When your server doesn't allow that, "Execute the following program after logging in" is the alternative: the desktop opens normally and Noden types your command into the remote Run dialog once you're signed in. More remote desktop settings • Keyboard layout for the remote session • Send Num Lock when connecting — for Mac keyboards whose numeric keypad types arrows on the remote side • Restricted admin mode, which signs in without sending your password to the server • Connection speed profile: modem, broadband or LAN • Separate gateway credentials, for gateways that use a different account than the server • Load balance information, for servers behind an RD Connection Broker A clearer connection editor New and edited connections no longer scroll through one long form. Settings are grouped into tabs that follow the protocol — General, Credentials, Display, Local resources, Programs, Gateway and Advanced — and the window no longer changes size as you move between them. Name and colour your tabs Right-click a session tab to rename it or give it a colour label. The name and colour apply to that open tab, and a connection can carry a default colour that every new tab starts from.

Fixed — signing out of Windows in full screen left a black screen If you used Noden's full-screen button for a remote desktop session and then signed out of Windows, Noden closed the session tab but left the full-screen window behind: a black screen covering the whole display, with the Dock and menu bar hidden and Esc / ⌃⌘F no longer responding. The full-screen window now closes by itself whenever the session ends — sign-out, a dropped connection or a connection error — and you return to the Noden window.

Fixed a crash during remote desktop sessions. If a display or clipboard channel was closed while the session was still running — which happens when the server reconnects internally — resizing the window could quit Noden unexpectedly. Reconnecting now also restores the remote resolution correctly. Fixed: the remote desktop did not scale when you moved a session into its own window or used the green full-screen button — it now follows the window in both cases. Fixed: the sidebar button could stop responding after a remote session ended. Showing and hiding the sidebar is now handled by Noden itself, from the toolbar button or View ▸ Show/Hide Sidebar. New: the session shows the cursor Windows is actually drawing — text, busy, resize handles — instead of the local pointer.

## New in 1.3.7 - **Older switches and appliances now connect.** Network devices that only offer legacy SSH algorithms — `diffie-hellman-group14-sha1` key exchange, `ssh-rsa` host keys, `aes128/192/256-ctr` ciphers with HMAC-SHA-1/SHA-256/SHA-512 — can now be reached from Noden. Modern servers keep using curve25519, Ed25519 and AES-GCM: the older algorithms are offered last and only chosen when a device has nothing else. - **Connection errors say what actually went wrong.** A failed connection used to show an internal code such as "ChannelError error 9". Noden now reports the real cause — an algorithm mismatch, a refused port, a timeout — in your own language. - **Report a problem from the terminal.** Right-click and choose Report a Problem. If the connection failed, the error text and a technical summary of the session (protocol, port, authentication method) are filled in for you. The server address, username and connection name are never included. - **See exactly what is sent.** The feedback window can now show the precise request body before you send it, so you can check every field yourself.

Also in this update: • Fixed: dragging files between Finder and a server — and between the two file panels — works again. • Answer a password prompt on connect. Set an "On connect" command such as sudo su and choose which password answers it: the connection's own, or any vault entry. It is typed once and never enters your command history. • Double-click a vault entry to copy it, with Touch ID and the 30-second clipboard wipe unchanged. • Return now confirms the "close session" prompt.
