Recovery Garden

A living world for recovery

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Recovery Garden is a private daily check-in that grows a small, living world out of showing up. Three short checks a day, shaped like the practice recovery has always used: MORNING — point the day. What's good, what's coming, and the next right thing. Sealing it releases a bird into your sky. AFTERNOON — a spot check. Anything knotted up, anything to set right while there's still daylight. Sealing it plants a seedling wherever you choose on an endless stretch of land. It grows a little every single day — full height at day thirty — becoming a daisy, a tulip, a sunflower, lavender, a broadleaf, or a pine. EVENING — the full inventory. Five honest questions and a read of how close to the beam you walked. Sealing it raises a star that keeps its place in your night forever. The world fills with life as you keep going: four kinds of birds, fireflies after dark, a shooting star if you happen to be watching, and the actual moon at tonight's phase. Real weather drifts through — when it rains outside, it rains in your garden; when it snows, it snows. Seasons turn. Once the garden has company, butterflies arrive. Tap any bird, planting, or star to reopen the day it came from. And a year from now, the porch will quietly quote back what you wrote today. No streaks. No badges. No grades. Nothing to lose or break. The world only ever accumulates life, one check-in at a time. Private by design: everything you write stays on your phone. No account, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking. Weather comes from Apple Weather using your approximate location, which is never stored. A home-screen widget keeps your sky in sight all day — your stars, the moon, today's temperatures, and which check is waiting. Recovery Garden is a personal practice tool, not treatment or medical advice.

Your garden lives in real time now. The sun stands where it truly is — rising, arcing, and dying as an ember on the horizon — the moon keeps its real phase, and your actual weather drifts through the sky. Drag the day slider and the whole day sweeps under your finger. Your circle: connect with a sponsor or a friend, one invitation at a time. Each of you chooses what to set free — a bird, a planting, a star — and words travel only when you send them. Press and hold a visitor to let them know you were there. Invitations travel however you do: a tapped link, a QR code across a table, or an App Clip that catches the invite before the app is even installed. Visitors now wear the name you gave them. And the sky breathes: your newest days always fly, while older birds take graceful turns — a year of showing up stays tranquil, never crowded.
