No recommendation algorithm. You pick the topics and your city; the feed is chronological. Every headline is rewritten to say what the story actually says — no clickbait, no curiosity gaps — and every story is scored for substance and calm. Flip on Good news when you've had enough.
HOW IT WORKS
Every story that reaches your feed has to earn its place. Distill evaluates each article on three things:
• Real substance — Does it actually say anything? Thin, padded, "nothing" stories are filtered out so you never click into an empty article.
• An honest headline and summary — No clickbait, no curiosity-gap tricks. You get a straight headline and a clear summary up front, so you know what a story is about before you tap.
• A calm signal — Sensationalized, rage-bait, doom-scroll content is filtered down, so your feed stays useful instead of upsetting.
Stories that don't clear the bar simply don't show up. What's left is the news worth your time.
