Smoother first launch, and signing in no longer stalls on a weak connection.

Today's challenge has moved up the home screen. It now comes right after Continue, ahead of Zen and Rush, so the day's puzzle is easier to find.

Puzzle rush now remembers your best score, even on a new phone, and shows it at the top as the number to beat. Your count lights up the moment you pass it, and a new record shows the one you beat. Solve a rush board without a mistake and win 2 seconds back on the clock. Tap the new info button for the full rules.

The board now shrinks on your terms. Cleared rows and columns can close on their own as before, or wait for you — choose Auto or Manual in Settings. In Manual a button appears on the board while cleared lines are waiting, and one tap closes them all. The hint button now shows the drops you have rather than what a hint costs, and every spend flies off it as you pay, so you can watch your balance move.

Two new modes: Zen (endless, untimed, offline) and Puzzle rush (a 3-minute sprint). Shaped levels you clear become stamps in a new Collection, and board themes unlock as you travel. Solve a shaped level and its picture fades in behind the dots. Dots light up behind departing arrows, and a blocked tap flashes what stopped you. Watch a replay of your solve. New optional Fog mode. All switchable in Settings.

- The board now shrinks as you play: clear a whole row or column and it folds away, pulling the rest together. Prefer a steady board? Turn off "Shrinking board" in Settings. - Dots light up as an arrow slides out, tracing its path off the board. - Smoother arrow exits and small fixes.

Your journey now looks like a journey. The Continue card trades its progress bar for a stretch of road: the level you're on sits in the middle, with the ones behind and ahead of you fading off into the distance.

Not sure where an arrow leads? Press and hold it — a line traces its path off the board. Hold as many as you like, and long-press an empty spot to clear them. Every level now starts you on a full three lives — running out costs you the board, not your whole run. • Restart is back — on the pause screen and when you run out of lives • Stuck? Watch an ad to skip a level: the board solves itself and you move on • The pause screen is already up when you come back to the game • Clearer prices on the hint and refill buttons

• New: buy drops. Top up with a drop pack, or unlock Infinite Drops once and never pay for a hint or a refill again. • Lives now work as a single pool that carries with you between levels, instead of resetting on every board. • Clearer lives counter while you play. • Various fixes and polish.

• Follow players — long-press anyone on a leaderboard, then filter the board to "Following". • Invite a friend with a link — when they accept, you follow each other. • New weekly leaderboard, alongside Today and All time. • Reactions now sit in one compact badge per row. Tap it to see who reacted. • The daily card shows solver count and average time, even after you've solved.

• Sagitta now speaks 14 languages! Choose yours in the You tab, or let it follow your device. • Leaderboards: tap the reactions on a player's row to see who sent them. • Android: sound effects now respect your media volume instead of the ringer volume. • Stability improvements and bug fixes.

Every level rebuilt from the ground up — bigger, trickier boards with a new twist: Blind levels, where you number the arrows first and then watch the sequence run. Plus a leaderboard rename fix.
