FACTS TO DISCOVER A library of over 600 fun facts to browse, a new Fun Fact Trivia game, and a "Did you know?" card after each game (you can switch it off in Settings). MORE TO LEARN Animal Detective now has 168 animals with new pictures and habitat scenes, from farms and mountains to the home. Musical Instruments is a new quiz with 125 instruments and where each one comes from. Space Post has a map of the planets with real transfer orbits. In Robot Routes the robot now turns before it moves, on a tilted 3D board. A CLEARER NAME Avioane is now "Avioane: Family Games", and the home screen reads "A World of Family Games". The games and your progress are unchanged. Clues in Animal Detective no longer give away the animal's name or home.

Avioane has a fresh look: meet AVI. Your games and progress are still here. TWO NEW CLASSICS Checkers and Backgammon join the strategy games. Play either one against the computer (Easy, Medium or Hard), against a friend on the same phone, over Wi-Fi or by text. In Checkers captures are optional; Backgammon has no doubling cube, and a win counts as single, gammon or backgammon. FOUR LEARNING GAMES FOR CHILDREN Animal Detective, Space Post, Fossil Detective and Robot Routes are little adventures of three or five missions. Follow clues to an animal and its home, plan a delivery among the planets, rebuild a fossil, or program a robot. Each one has an illustrated field guide, optional read-aloud and saved progress, and a finished mission can be replayed for practice. A HAND-DRAWN LOOK The games now look like crayon and pencil on paper. Avioane has cartoon planes, drifting clouds and a plane that spirals down in smoke. Fleet Battle has a light ocean and ships that slip under the waves. Hangman is a flyer on six balloons, and Paper Soccer has a 3D football, a striped pitch and a cheering crowd. Tic-Tac-Toe, Four in a Row, Hex, Bridg-It, Dots & Boxes, Nim, Fox & Geese, Checkers, Nine Men's Morris, Go and Sprouts are all redrawn too. BIGGER BOARDS Hold the phone sideways and the board in many games now fills the whole height of the screen, with the score and the result beside it. A NEW HOME SCREEN A World of Brain Games: featured games get bigger cards with their own artwork, and you can filter by category or by complexity. Every game now shows how complex it is (Light, Medium or Heavy) and about how long it takes, before you start. HANGMAN TELLS YOU WHAT WORDS MEAN When a round ends, the definition of the word appears. There are now about 2,200 words across the four languages, up from about 800, in six categories. WORD GAMES The cube word game is now called Word Cubes (Cuburi de Cuvinte, Cubos de Palabras, Wortwürfel), with toy cubes in a wooden tray. Your saved rounds and scores are unchanged. Word Ladder is a real ladder you climb, and its puzzles now use only familiar words, in every language. WI-FI AND TEXT Rematches keep a running series score, the same on both phones. Flags and Car Logos fill the whole screen over Wi-Fi and name the winner. Fleet Battle over Wi-Fi has the same layout as against the computer. Go over Wi-Fi and by text passes for a player who has no legal move. FLAGS AND CAR LOGOS Flags has a pencil sketch of the world behind it, and at the end of a run the map shows a pin for every country you got right. Car Logos has a new look too, and it no longer shows a brand's country: the answer card is just about the logo. A FEW MORE THINGS • Tic-Tac-Toe Memory pauses after every cleared level and never lights the same square twice in a sequence. • Kakuro's dark mode is fixed, and a new switch turns a finished run green. • How to play opens with a 20-second quick start in most games. • AVI carries its own fonts, so nothing is downloaded the first time it opens.

THE WORLD ON A GLOBE Every right answer in Flags and Car Logos now has a Show on the map button under it. It opens a globe you spin with one finger and zoom with two, turns it to the right continent and lights the country up, with the whole continent washed in colour around it. Every country's flag is pinned in its place: the big ones first, the small ones as you zoom in. Tap any flag to read about that country. MORE ABOUT EVERY COUNTRY The answer card now says where a country is and what it is like: its continent, capital, population and main language, with a note when more languages are official. THE GLOBE ON ITS OWN On the Flags setup screen, under the score card, a World map entry opens the globe with nothing lit, for exploring at leisure. READ ALOUD, FOR THE YOUNGEST Flags and Car Logos can read the four choices aloud before a child picks. Turn it on under the difficulty. The choice being read lights up as it is spoken, in whichever of the four languages the app is set to.

NEW — LEARN Two new games that teach you something. Flags: two hundred of them. Car Logos: eighty-four badges. Four choices a question, in runs of ten, twenty-five or fifty. Both sit under a new Learn heading on the home screen. PLAY THEM OVER WI-FI The same question lands on both phones at once, and the first correct answer takes the point. A HINT WHEN YOU ARE STUCK The Hint under the choices takes one wrong answer off the table and leaves three. Once per question, in both quizzes. SCORE CARDS Flags and Car Logos keep a record like every other game: how many runs you have finished, your best one, and how much of everything you have ever been asked you got right. Tap it for the full history.

PLAY BY TEXT Take turns through any messaging app. Send a link, your friend plays, it comes back to you — no account, no server, the whole game travels inside the link. Now in nine games: Four in a Row, Tic-Tac-Toe, Nine Men's Morris, Dots & Boxes, S.O.S., Treblecross, Hex, Paper Soccer and Go. When a game ends you can share the result, so nobody is left wondering. NEW GAME — PAȘI PRIN PUSTIE Roll along a connected road, answer character questions with shuffled choices, and navigate provisions, choices and detours. DICE ROLLER Next to the score sheet: pick your dice (d4 to d20) and how many, then tap to throw them across the table and read the total. DAILY STREAK The Avioane daily puzzle now counts how many days in a row you have solved it. UNDO Against the computer in Go, Moară, Lines of Action and Fox and Geese — one tap takes back your move and the reply to it. EASIER TO PICK UP • A game you have not played before opens its rules the first time you tap PLAY • A guided intro on first launch: pick your language, choose the name friends see, and see exactly what is free • Your name is asked once and shared by both Wi-Fi and play-by-text SCORES THAT ADD UP • Wins over Wi-Fi or by text now count in each game's record • Score cards refresh the moment a game ends, and match the history page exactly • Avioane and Țară, Oraș count online games too, with wins, losses and draws FIXES AND POLISH • Masyu and Slitherlink puzzles now always have exactly one solution • Treblecross alternates who starts each new game against the computer • Paper Boggle shows right, wrong and already-found straight on the board • Slitherlink turns a number green once its lines are complete • Țară, Oraș over Wi-Fi no longer waits forever on a sheet that never arrived • Online games use the same layout as playing the computer, with the board filling the screen • Every page inside a game shows that game's name in your language • Clearer type on the pre-game screen, so every way to start a game reads the same
