Meet the critics—and now hear them come to life. This update introduces more natural, expressive voice narration across six distinct critic personas. Each critic now has a unique voice, delivery style, pacing, and personality, from the calm precision of the Bauhaus critic to the dry restraint of Unhinged mode. What’s new: • Six distinct AI-generated critic voices • More natural pacing, pauses, emphasis, and conversational delivery • Faster voice preparation with background generation and local caching • Improved Read Critique controls with preparation, pause, resume, and stop states • Clearer, more focused spoken critiques that prioritize the most useful feedback • Enhanced premium Apple voices as an offline fallback • Improved voice reliability and error handling • Performance improvements and bug fixes throughout the app Your critiques should now feel less like text being read aloud and more like an actual conversation with a creative mentor, professor, curator, editor, or brutally honest art-school critic.

THE CRIT JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT LOUDER. Now, iOS 27 compatible! This update transforms every critique into a sharper, more entertaining, and more personal creative experience. ALL-NEW CRITIC VOICES Every critique mode now has its own unmistakable personality, priorities, rhythm, and point of view. Photo Critic thinks like a picture editor. Portfolio Review decides whether your work earns the wall. Commercial / Editorial brings intimidating creative-director standards. Art School digs into concept, form, and meaning. These are no longer simple tone changes—each critic notices different details, asks different questions, and recommends different solutions. UNHINGED MEANS UNHINGED Unhinged mode has been turned all the way up. Expect louder reactions, ruthless jokes, Southern art-teacher energy, image-specific chaos, and brutally practical commands. It may yell. It may swear. It may ask what in tarnation happened to your composition. But beneath the meltdown, every roast remains grounded in visible evidence and a real fix. FASHION FEEDBACK WITH ICE IN ITS VEINS Fashion, beauty, styling, and luxury-editorial critiques now receive an intimidating editor-in-chief treatment: controlled, exacting, nearly impossible to impress, and devastatingly specific. Expect sharper judgments of silhouette, styling, pose, grooming, lighting, set design, taste level, and whether the image creates genuine desire. READ YOUR CRITIQUE ALOUD Your critique can now speak. Tap Read Critique to hear the complete feedback delivered with pacing and vocal character matched to the active critic. Pause, resume, or stop whenever you like. Each voice has its own cadence—from calm and constructive to sparse and contemplative, icy and editorial, or loud and completely unhinged. 90+ SCORE REWARDS Create something exceptional and your critic may celebrate it out loud. Critiques scoring 90 or higher now unlock special spoken reward lines tailored to the selected mode or persona. Every voice reacts differently, because a Bauhaus instructor, fashion editor, landscape painter, and furious Southern art teacher should never sound alike. SMARTER, LESS GENERIC CRITIQUES The Crit now works harder to eliminate vague, reusable feedback. Responses must identify exact visible evidence, avoid repeating the same diagnosis, vary their openings and sentence patterns, and provide repairs matched to the actual medium. If another critic could have delivered the same critique unchanged, the response is pushed to become more distinctive. NEW-GENERATION AI The Crit now uses an updated Gemini model for stronger visual analysis, more natural writing, better instruction-following, and more expressive critic voices. STRONGER SECURITY AI credentials are no longer stored inside the app. Requests now travel through a protected service with private credential handling and rate limiting, helping keep The Crit safer and more reliable. PLUS • More varied critique language • Stronger persona separation • Better fashion and editorial analysis • More precise photography feedback • Improved actionable fixes • Smarter visual-evidence requirements • More reliable AI requests • Security and performance improvements • Bug fixes throughout the experience Your work deserves more than “looks good.” Upload it. Face the critics. Hear the verdict.

What’s new in The CRIT: Meet Critic Personas. Re-run your critique through different creative voices, from a warm studio instructor to an absolutely unhinged roast. New Growth Reports analyze your saved History to show what’s improving, what’s emerging, and where to focus next. Plus: sharper critique voice, better History tools, and share extension improvements.

CRIT hits 2.0 with two big new modes that turn it into a career tool — not just a critic for the piece in front of you. CRITIC PERSONAS Re-run any critique in the voice of a distinct art tradition. See your piece through the eyes of a Bauhaus instructor, a Ma Master steeped in negative space, a Renaissance workshop draftsman, or an MFA critic who wants to know whose gaze your work invites. Six voices at launch. Same honest Craft and Reach scoring — six different lenses. GROWTH REPORTS Feed CRIT three or more pieces from your History and get a personal report on your arc as an artist: what has strengthened, what has held, what voice is emerging, and where to focus next. The more you add to your History, the sharper the arc becomes. Thank you for using CRIT. Keep making the work.
