Watched episodes are obvious at a glance, and a whole season is one swipe away (if some episodes haven't aired yet, we say so). Your position is saved every thirty seconds, on every device: reopen and carry on. Half ratings are back — 7.5 is a rating again. Profiles now live in your account card, with your photo, and switching profile has its own button so you can't open one by mistake. On iPad the title page finally uses the screen: actions on one side, ratings and genres on the other. A film that isn't out yet shows its cinema date with a bell to be reminded; one that just opened says it's in cinemas. And the episode sheet shows plot and buttons with no empty gaps. Also: the "Where to watch" row now says since when a title is available, comments are counted episode by episode, and on iPad the title page uses the full width.

Your numbers: time spent watching, hours month by month, your year day by day and the shows that got you hooked. Comments rebuilt: they read like a chat, your bubble on the right, and the write bar is always at the bottom. Unread badge: replies, likes and new followers show up without hunting for them. The whole app translated into 23 languages. Tidier profile: swipe through your numbers, and your lists show where you got to.

• Widgets for the Home and Lock screens: upcoming episodes, the countdown to the one you're waiting for, and what you left halfway. • In your profile every show tells you which episode you're on, with a progress bar and how many are left. • Lists are easier to create, and the theme colour now applies across the whole app. • Movies can be marked as watched (and rewatched) even without owning them. • "Mark everything up to here" now includes previous seasons. • Fixes: episodes missing the play button, seasons not showing as completed, and various polish.

A deeper rework of Live. • New Football section: matches grouped by competition — Serie A, Serie B, Coppa Italia, Champions League, Europa League, LaLiga, Premier League — each with its badge. • Sport and films no longer get mixed up: the category now comes from the TV guide, not from guessing the title. • Matches show team crests and the competition badge. • "Continue watching": what you remove disappears on all your devices. • Skip-intro and "Next episode" are more reliable: marks come from the databases, no more guesswork. • New: choose the channel format (HLS or MPEG-TS) if your provider serves one better than the other. • IPTV credentials are no longer written to local device storage.

New Live section: today's movies, series and sport, with a prime-time showcase. Sports event page, with a reminder a quarter of an hour before. Your teams: the fixture list and a notification when they play. New navigation bar. Fixes to programme reminders and to the home screen.
