SleepOff is a compact menu bar utility that keeps your Mac awake exactly when you need it — and gets out of the way when you don't.
Made for long unattended tasks: AI agents and coding assistants, model training, builds, large downloads, presentations and screen sharing.
Three configurable profiles:
- Keep Awake — prevents idle system sleep while a task is running.
- Keep Awake, Allow Display Sleep — work keeps running while the display can sleep as usual.
- System Default — instantly releases everything and returns your Mac to normal sleep behavior.
Switch profiles from the menu bar or with global hotkeys, get a notification on every switch, and set an optional auto-deactivate timer. Each profile has its own name, power options, hotkey and notification setting. SleepOff can launch at login, so your profiles are ready when your Mac starts.
New: Agent Watch. Turn on "Auto Keep-Awake for Agents" and SleepOff activates your chosen profile the moment an AI agent starts working, then switches back to System Default on its own once the agent goes idle — works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI and DeepSeek Harness. Only file modification times are checked; file contents are never read.
SleepOff uses only public macOS APIs and transmits no data off your device. Some sleep, display and lid-closed behavior remains controlled by macOS, hardware state and power source.

Agent Watch now supports DeepSeek Harness, alongside Claude Code, Codex and Cursor CLI. In Settings > Agent Watch > Folder Access, grant access to the DeepSeek Harness sessions folder (~/.dsh/sessions) and SleepOff keeps your Mac awake while DeepSeek Harness works, then lets it sleep again when it goes idle. Only file modification times are checked; file contents are never read.
