CashTide
Plan account balance ahead
$3.99
See upcoming income, recurring costs, and your projected balance.
CashTide is a forward-looking budget planner built around one question: will your real account balance cover the bookings ahead?
Enter your current balance, recurring income, bills, subscriptions, weekly costs, and one-off bookings. CashTide projects each upcoming month, shows the running balance after every pending booking, and highlights the lowest point before it happens.
Mark a booking done when it clears. CashTide removes completed bookings from the forward projection while keeping the reconciled balance as the source of truth.
Features:
- Monthly and yearly forward projections
- Recurring, weekly, specific-month, and one-off bookings
- Optional start and end month for any recurring booking
- Per-month overrides and split sub-items
- EUR and USD amounts with reference-rate conversion
- Private iCloud synchronization across your devices
- Import and export for your own budget documents
- English and German interface
- No advertising, analytics, or tracking
CashTide is a planning tool. It does not initiate payments or provide financial advice.
more The app is now named CashTide. No functional changes since 1.6.0.
1.6.1 Sep 30
The category chart now summarizes this year instead of a moving remaining period, so its values stay comparable during the year.
You can exclude categories from charts when needed, for example transfers. This never changes bookings or balances.
The order of manually moved bookings now saves more reliably. Account-balance input also stays unchanged while you type instead of immediately reformatting as currency.
1.6.0 Aug 26
The month overview now adds up income and expenses by the sign of the amount. Cleared, outstanding and total are correct even if you keep everything in one list and never turn on "Treat as income".
The category chart has a second side. Switch it from expenses to income and it shows where the money comes from, not only where it goes.
In the table, amounts are no longer cut off, and the columns use the full width in landscape instead of leaving it empty.
All three came out of one reader's mail. Thank you for writing in.
1.5.1 Aug 9
A tab bar replaces the old toolbar menu. Your account balance now starts the home screen, and the table, the charts and the settings each get their own tab.
Recurring bookings can be limited to a range of months. End an old savings plan in December, start its replacement in January, and both keep their history.
The month overview splits cleared and outstanding amounts into income and expenses, so you can see how much of the month's income has actually arrived. Bookings you never checked off now carry into the new month instead of disappearing with the old one.
Also fixed: several screens still showed English text in the German app.
1.5.0 Aug 4
Tide has a completely redesigned app icon, with dedicated light, dark, and tinted appearances plus a matching icon on Apple Watch.
Bank Account Sync was removed in line with Apple's Guidelines.
1.4.2 Aug 1
Bookings can now be arranged in the order you expect within each week. Turn on “Reorder bookings” and move them with drag and drop. The order carries over to the months ahead.
Reorder mode stays off until you turn it on.
1.4.1 Jul 29
Tide 1.4 puts every booking in the week it actually happens.
Bookings spread across the month:
- A weekly booking now appears once per session, in the week it really falls in, instead of one lump you only feel at the end of the month.
- Undated recurring costs are spread over the weeks too, so you can see which week pushes your balance down.
New charts screen:
- The balance ahead across every projected month, with each month's lowest point marked.
- Spending by category, for this month or the whole projection.
- What each month nets on its own.
Easier to read:
- Section headings are larger and no longer in capitals, and the totals beside them are properly legible instead of near-invisible grey.
Thanks to everyone sending suggestions. Keep them coming!
1.4.0 Jul 26
Tide 1.3 rounds up the most requested improvements from your feedback.
A clearer month:
- Every section now shows its total right in the header. No more adding up rows in your head.
- The month card also shows how much is already done and what is still to come.
- If your balance is headed below zero, Tide flags the week: red in the month list and on the affected section header.
Faster check-offs:
- Mark several bookings done at once: tap Select in the month view, pick your bookings, done.
- The Done section moved to the end of the list, so open bookings come first.
Straight to the point:
- New quick action: press and hold the app icon to jump right into the current month.
- On the Mac, the year grid now uses the full window width.
Thanks to everyone sending suggestions. Keep them coming!

Tide 1.2 makes everyday budgeting simpler — and your balance smarter.
Your balance now carries forward: each month starts with the previous month's projected end balance, so Start, Lowest, and End show your account's real trajectory. Tap the month-list header to switch between net change and running balance.
Simpler editing:
- One name field per booking and category — the second language is translated for you automatically, on-device.
- Just type the amount: expenses are handled automatically, no minus sign needed. Type + to record an inflow, or enter math like 1500-200.
- Cost splitting (e.g. rent shared with flatmates) is now an optional toggle with a clear explanation instead of always being visible.
Smarter balance:
- Checking off a booking on your Apple Watch now updates your account balance too, just like on iPhone and Mac.
- New to Tide? The summary card now guides you to set your starting balance.
- Carried-over ↻ items now explain themselves in the month view.
Fixes in 1.2.1:
- Automatic translation no longer repeatedly asks which language you typed in — it now translates silently from your app language, and if no translation is possible the name you entered is used as-is.
- Corrected App Store screenshots.
