PrivateLingo is a private space for two. Chat in a language you invent together, word by word, so your messages read like a secret only the two of you share. Call each other on voice or video, with calls that ring like a real phone call. Keep Our Space, a wall only the two of you can see, for photos, notes and moments sealed until a date you choose. Play Lingo, the word game, with friends or with anyone in the World League, or try the arcade and its Weekly Cup. Find the people you know, and stay in control with privacy, blocking and reporting built in. This update makes your language more yours, calls calmer and clearer, and PrivateLingo safer for everyone. YOUR LANGUAGE, MORE FUN • Choose how your language sounds when you create it: Dreamy, Silly, Ancient or Home. Tap the speaker to hear examples. • Make it a word: hold any message and turn a word, or a whole phrase like "miss you already", into one word of your own. • Tap a message to read it in English, with a gentle fade. • A small sparkle beside Play holds the daily "Do you remember?" quiz and today's word, so the chat stays clear. • When one of you starts a language or makes a new word, both of you see it in the chat. CALLS • Missed calls now reach your phone, and your call log says exactly what happened. • A calmer call screen: a bigger photo, a live sound wave, and nothing hidden behind the buttons. • Switching to video is asked right inside the call controls. • The speaker stays on while a call is ringing. OUR SPACE AND CHATS • Our Space is easier to reach and easier to read, with clearer sealing. • All five pinned faces fit on screen, and date labels sit where they belong. • A fresh welcome, sign-up and login. SAFER FOR EVERYONE • Names of famous people, brands and contact details can no longer be used as a name. • Report someone straight from their connection request. It also declines and blocks them. • A daily limit on connection requests keeps spam away. Thank you for using PrivateLingo. If anyone ever makes you uncomfortable, use Report or Block from their profile and we will look into it.

PrivateLingo is a private place for two people, in a language you invent together. Make up your own words as you chat and they become yours alone. Call each other by voice or video, with calls that ring like a real phone call. Share photos, notes and moments on Our Space, a wall only the two of you can see. Play Lingo, a word game where your invented words score triple, with a friend or with anyone in the World League. Run the arcade games and climb the Weekly Cup. Find your people by username or number, and decide who can reach you. This update is about coming back, and about games that feel alive. ONE NOTE A DAY A single daily note, at the time you usually open the app. It tells you what matters: who is waiting on you, a streak about to end, a rival who is online right now, your week on Sundays, or a word you two made up a month ago. Tap it and you land in the right chat or game. Your invented words never appear on your lock screen. Change the time or switch it off in Settings. YOUR PEOPLE, CLOSER Pin up to five people. They sit in a slimmer row at the top of your chats, with a gold ring when they have written to you. WORD GAMES THAT FEEL GREAT Every tile you place plays a rising note. Rare letters shimmer as you draw them. Points fly into your score. Heavy letters land with weight, and a big enough move hits the Jackpot. The last tiles glow as the end comes near, and a win gets a victory lap. Dragging tiles is smoother, and a tile can never land on top of another. YOUR WHOLE RESULT ON ONE SCREEN After a game, everything fits at once: the score, your league points, your best word, the game in one line, new badges and Rematch. RIVALS, THE COACH AND THE SEASON Play the same person three times in the world and you can become rivals. Review any finished game with the Coach to see the moves that mattered. The World League now has a season table, and each season ends with a finale. A LIVE WEEKLY CUP The Weekly Cup board now updates within seconds, so you can watch the race as it happens. It also has a fresh look in the app's own colours. PLAY ANYONE, FIRST Play anyone now leads the Game Hub, so a real opponent is always one tap away. ALSO FIXED Playing the robot is quick from the very first move. Thank you for playing and chatting with us. If anyone ever makes you uncomfortable, use Report or Block from their profile and we will look at it.

PrivateLingo is a private messaging app for two people at a time. As you chat, words you use are quietly replaced with invented ones, shown with the English alongside, so the two of you build a language only you can read. There are voice and video calls that ring like a real phone call, a word game you can play against each other or against people from anywhere, and Ours, a wall only the two of you can see. This update is about playing with people you have not met yet, and about calls. TALK DURING A WORLD GAME When you play someone from anywhere, you can now talk back and forth during the game. Tap Say to send a quick line or an emoji, and reply to what they said with one tap. It is a short, friendly list of words rather than a chat box, so it stays kind between strangers. They get a notification when you say something, and what they said is waiting for you when you come back, even days later. When the game ends, Ask to connect opens a real private chat if you both want one. BETTER MATCHES Play anyone now matches you with people who are actually around, so your games get answered. A FACE FOR THE ROBOT The practice opponent now has a face and a name: Robot. VIDEO THAT STARTS STRAIGHT AWAY When someone answers your video call, you see each other straight away. Switching a voice call to video is quicker too, and the other person's phone now vibrates so they notice you asked. CALLS THAT STAY WITH YOU The call timer keeps the right time wherever you go in the app, and the call screen now says whether it is a voice or a video call. ALSO FIXED Password reset emails arrive reliably. Switching between the front and back camera during a call is steadier. If someone asks to connect and you miss it, you now get a gentle reminder, so nobody is left waiting. Thank you for using PrivateLingo. If something is not right, the Report and Block controls are on every profile, and we read what comes in.

PrivateLingo is a private messenger for the people closest to you. Messages, calls, photos and a wall only the two of you can see, plus your own words for things that nobody else gets. No feed, no strangers, no audience. WHAT'S NEW Your chats work without signal Open the app on a plane, in a lift or with no bars, and your conversations are still there to read. Names, faces, recent messages and your call history are kept on your phone. Sending still needs a connection, but nothing waits on one just to show you what was already said. It opens faster Your chats appear straight away instead of the app waiting on the network every time you open it. Invite someone, and write to them first Bring one person in by name. They appear on your chat list right away, and you can write to them before they have even installed. They read what you wrote on the invite itself, which is a warmer welcome than an empty app. Find people by username No need to type @ any more. Type the username and they are there. The word game Play a person or play the robot, whichever you feel like. The robot always answers. A game that has gone quiet now says so and offers you another rather than leaving you wondering. If your opening tiles have no word in them, you can swap instead of being stuck. You can send a few quick words to whoever you are playing, and if you enjoyed the game you can ask them to connect. Smaller things Chat bubbles are rounder and cleaner. Names with accents in them are no longer mangled when you sign up. Several freezes and crashes are fixed, and the app is lighter on your battery and your phone.

Everything for the two of you, now one tap closer. PrivateLingo is a messenger for two people. Not a feed, not a crowd. One person, and everything you do together stays between you. CHAT, WITH YOUR OWN WORDS Message, send photos, videos, voice notes and files, react, reply, forward and star. Then do something no other app lets you do: build a language only the two of you speak. Words you invent together are remembered, swapped into your chats, and grow into a private dictionary with its own name and levels. CALLS THAT REALLY RING Voice and video calls that ring from the lock screen, even when the app is closed. Missed a call? Leave a voice message right there. OUR SPACE A wall that belongs to the two of you. Put up photos and moments, write what you each remember about them, and watch it play back as a short film. Seal something to be opened later. Nobody else will ever see it. GAMES YOU PLAY IN TURNS Lingo, a word game on a board, played at your own pace with a friend or with anyone open to play. Your secret words score triple. Five arcade games with duels: send a friend the exact same course and beat each other's score. A daily word, a record shelf, medals. FIND EACH OTHER YOUR WAY Sign in with Apple, Google or email. Find people by username, by the contacts already in your phone, or with a link. Nobody can message you until you accept, and there is nothing to browse. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No public profiles. No discovery feed. Your nicknames for people are yours alone. Your number is never shown and never texted. Block or report anyone, any time. NEW IN 2.13.3 • One room. The Lingo page is gone: everything happens on the Games tab. Your games lead the card, tap a face and you are on the board. Play anyone and Challenge a friend sit right there with their own buttons, and the friend picker only shows people you have no game with. • Open to play is on for everyone, with the switch right where you can see it. Strangers can start a game with you; you move second; switch it off any time. • Games nobody has touched for a month close quietly as draws that count for nobody, and you can let your own quiet games go in one tap. • Lingo moments. Every big play now gets its own celebration: Big word at forty, Monster at sixty, Wordsmith for eight letters, Bingo with a fan of seven tiles, Lead taken when you come back from behind, and a run that catches fire. The secret word keeps the crown. • Fixes: sound on the very first tile, one game per friend no matter how you pick them, no blank screen after your first word in a world match, and your games in sight on every phone without scrolling. PrivateLingo is for the person you talk to most. Bring them.

Everyone's picture is a photo card now, with a lean of its own and a frame that lifts off the page. People without a photo get a clean silhouette in their own tone. • Lingo, world games: Play anyone opens a board that is yours until you play your first word, so a stranger never receives an empty game. Games nobody plays close on their own. The card says who is out there, and the reveal gives you three seconds to say not this person. • Lingo, friends: rematch the CPU, your invented words score triple against it, a pass reads as a pass, and a friend who has gone quiet for two weeks can be claimed instead of resigned to. Muting a chat mutes its game. • The arcade: all five games play fairer and the same on every phone. Challenge a friend straight from a cabinet, see where you stand on the card, and your best scores follow your account to a new phone. • Today's word is back: eight tiles, one word, a streak, a friends board. Four new medals. • Settings: change your password from inside the app, rate PrivateLingo, and a Danger zone that has to be opened before anything drastic can happen. • Many small fixes. PrivateLingo is for the person you talk to most. Bring them.

PrivateLingo is a messenger for two people. Chat with photos, video, voice notes and your own invented words. Voice and video calls that ring from the lock screen. Our Space, a private wall that plays your memories back as a short film. Lingo, a word game you play in turns, plus quick duels. No public profiles, nothing to browse, and nobody reaches you until you say yes. New in 2.13.0: • One-tap sign in with Apple or Google. Email sign up is now two screens. • Your people: see which of your contacts are already here and connect in one tap. Friends who have each other's number connect without a request. One search box finds a contact, an @username or a code. • Share your link is right at the top. That is the whole of adding someone. • Your number is a claim, not a key: change it three times, thirty days apart, with a day to fix a typo. Your profile shows exactly where you stand. • A new first screen that says what the app is, and fits every phone without scrolling. • Lingo: new board with bone tiles, one clean scoreboard, a real rack, and a results card that scrolls when several badges land at once. • Chat: a cleaner Chat / Our Space switch, and calls in the thread read like the rest of the conversation. • Left a voice message prompt? Not now really means not now. • Many small fixes.

New games in the Game Hub, plan your Lingo word while you wait for your turn, read any message in English with a tap, and reminders so a game never gets forgotten

Faster photos and videos Photos and videos now send much faster and use far less of your data. Voice notes you can hear first Record, listen back, then send or throw it away. Nothing leaves until you say so. Links you can tap Web links, phone numbers and email addresses in a message now open with one tap. Clearer read receipts One tick means sent, two means delivered, and you can now see at a glance when a message has been read. You can also turn read receipts off in Settings. Your dictionary, one tap away Once you have started a language together, your dictionary now sits right beside it. Plus a smarter file view, a tidier comment screen, and a fix for videos that could not be deleted.

The games section is now a room you walk into rather than a list you scroll. Three machines, each one playing itself while you decide, and the people waiting on your move are right there on the shelf with their faces and a light showing whose turn it is. Also in this version: Open a PDF straight in the app. No more picking which app should handle it, and documents keep the layout they were written with. Pinch a photo to zoom in, drag to move around it, and swipe down to put it away. Fixed a phone still ringing for an account it had been signed out of. Open the app once and it stops. Answering a call now stops the ringing properly. The word game no longer pauses in the middle of your move. Your list of people to play now scrolls all the way down. App lock says what your phone actually has instead of guessing. Clearing your call history now sticks, on every device.

Video posts play the moment you open them. Tap to pause, tap again to carry on, and what you have written stays readable while it runs. Captions now sit under your photographs instead of across them. Invite someone with a QR code, or give yourself a fresh code whenever you like. Adding someone is simpler, with search right at the top. Tap the picture on a request to see who it is before you decide. People without a photo get a colour of their own, so a list of names is easier to read at a glance. You can choose whether people are able to find you by your email address. It is in Settings, under Privacy. Archived chats now show you when something new has arrived. Calling is steadier. No more second call screen appearing, and the ringing stops when you pick up. Fixed a crash on the home screen, and several screens that would not scroll all the way down.

Games, rebuilt. A new games room, with your live games front and centre. Only one game per person now, so you can never end up playing someone twice. Send a friend the exact course you just ran and see who wins. Quieter notifications: practice games no longer buzz your phone. Plus a fix for the keyboard covering the new-language screen.

Chat is smoother and steadier, especially in long conversations and when you switch between English and your invented language. You can now give your friends the names you actually call them. Those names are private to you, and they appear everywhere, including when they call you. And Ours: a private space inside every conversation, just for the two of you. Keep photos, notes and the words you invented together, written on real paper. Nothing here expires. You can also seal something so it stays shut until a date you choose, and neither of you can open it early.

Getting people in Adding someone is now one screen with three clear ways in: send an invite, check your contacts, or enter a code. An invite you send survives a fresh install, so the person you invited arrives connected instead of on an empty app. Chats Open a chat and you land on the newest message. Load earlier messages to read back through long conversations, and a button brings you back down. Tap a quoted reply to jump to the message it quotes. Fixed Recording a voice note no longer makes later videos and voice notes play quietly. Unread badges now clear properly in busy chats. A conversation no longer looks empty when you are simply offline. Also GIFs are one tap from the message box. A cleaner look for adding your phone number.

Your chats, more under your control. • Search inside a conversation, find any message, whether you remember the English or the word you invented for it • Forward a message to another chat • Edit something you've already sent • Delete just for you, or for both of you • Star the messages worth keeping • Archive chats you're done with, and your pinned chats now follow you to a new phone • Disappearing messages, agreed by both of you and announced in the chat • Lock the app with Face ID • Link previews, unfurled on your own phone so the links you share never pass through our servers • Export a conversation as a readable copy you can keep Voice messages after a missed call Ring someone who can't pick up and you can record a message right there, listen back before you send it, and it arrives in your chat. Calls that stay audible Opening another app or playing a game no longer silences a call. Clearer moderation If we remove something you posted, you'll be told why and can see it on your profile. Two strikes closes posting only, your chats, calls and friends carry on as normal. Plus keyboard fixes on sign-in and when captioning a moment, and a chat list that settles instead of drifting.
