Step up to the magnetism lab. A horseshoe coil hangs over a well of magnetic orbs threaded with glowing white field lines — and the whole pile answers to you.
Lodestone is a physics merge-drop with a twist you can see in a single screenshot: you don't pick a drop column, you steer the entire pile at once. Set the coil to N and it ATTRACTS — the field lines bow upward and drag every orb toward the coil. Flip it to S and it REPELS, shoving the pile back down. Herd same-tier orbs into contact and they merge into the next particle, filings and grains all the way up to the Lodestone itself, ten tiers of rising power.
The catch is heat. Every second the coil is energised, the amber gauge climbs. Hold too long and the coil OVERHEATS: the field demagnetises, every orb goes inert grey, and nothing merges until the cool-down meter fills. So every pull is a bet — vent early and play safe, or gamble on one more merge before the field dies.
Drop fresh orbs from the rail up top, and keep the pile below the field-boundary line. Reach a Ferrite-tier merge and a FULL FIELD burst detonates the surrounding orbs for a bonus. Merges pay gauss; your best is saved on device.
