Proximum
Your agenda on every screen
$0.99 · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Proximum puts your next events where you actually look — the Home Screen, the Lock Screen, and StandBy — in a clean, customizable widget. No app to open, no clutter. Just what's coming up.
It reads every calendar already on your iPhone, so iCloud, Google, Exchange and Outlook all show up together the moment you grant access. Nothing to configure, no extra sign-ins.
THREE WAYS TO SEE YOUR DAY
• List — a dense, glanceable agenda grouped by day
• Spotlight — your next event front and center with a bold countdown
• Timeline — a vertical time-spine with a live "now" marker
SMART, AT A GLANCE
• Automatic event icons — flights, workouts, birthdays, meetings, calls and more
• A free/busy summary line: how many events today and when you're next free
• A live progress bar on whatever's happening right now
• Relative countdowns ("in 25m") so you always know how long you've got
WIDGETS FOR EVERY SPACE
• Home Screen — small, medium and large
• Lock Screen — inline, rectangular and a countdown ring
• StandBy — glanceable on your nightstand
• A "+N more" row so a packed day never gets cut off awkwardly
MAKE IT YOURS
• Six hand-tuned themes, or build your own colors
• Recolor every event to match the theme, add an ambient glow, or keep your calendar colors
• Choose how many events, how many days ahead, and the density
• Group by day; sort by time, duration or title
• Font design and text size — including Easy-to-Read Times
• Pick exactly which calendars appear, and mute events by keyword
• Every widget can override the defaults with its own look
A BEAUTIFUL IN-APP AGENDA
Open Proximum for the full, scrollable version of your widget feed — the same curated events, grouped by day, with rich detail a tap away.
PROXIMUM PRO — OPTIONAL, ONE-TIME
Unlock once and keep it forever. Never a subscription.
• One-tap Join — Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex, Whereby and more, straight from the widget
• Leave-by travel alerts — Proximum works out when you need to head out for your next event and tells you before you're late
• Live Activity — your next event on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, counting down
• Week at a Glance — a heat-map widget showing how busy your next seven days are
• Day briefing and double-booking alerts, written entirely on your device
• An optional morning digest notification, at a time you choose
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Proximum reads your calendars read-only and renders them on your device. Your events are never uploaded, there are no accounts and no Proximum servers, and there is no tracking or advertising. What's on your calendar stays on your iPhone.
Leave-by travel alerts are opt-in and off by default. Turn them on and your location and your event's address are used to ask Apple Maps for an ETA — exactly like asking for directions. Proximum never receives, stores or transmits that anywhere else.
BUILT FOR iOS
Native SwiftUI and WidgetKit, designed for iOS 17 and later. Light and dark, Dynamic Type friendly, and fast.

more Fixes for Up Next and a morning digest you can trust.
UP NEXT COUNTDOWNS KEEP TICKING
The "in 25m" next to an event could freeze while Proximum stayed open. It now counts down with the clock, and is right the moment you come back to the app.
A CLEARER MORNING DIGEST (Pro)
With one event under way and another later, the digest could say "free after 9.00" as if your day were clear. It now says when the free time ends: "free from 9.00 until 10.00".
THE DIGEST DESCRIBES YOUR CALENDAR AS IT IS THAT MORNING (Pro)
The digest used to be written the evening before, so an event moved overnight could be missing or in the wrong place. It is now written on your iPhone, from your calendar, at the moment it arrives. To deliver it on time, Proximum's service holds your device's push token, your digest hour and your time zone — never your events. On a day with nothing scheduled, the digest says so.

1.2.16 Oct 3
Live Activities now tell you when they can't start on their own.
YOU'LL KNOW WHEN A LIVE ACTIVITY CAN'T START (Pro)
On some iPhones, Apple can refuse the code Proximum uses to start a Live Activity while the app is closed. When that happened, Live Activities simply stopped appearing and nothing said why. Proximum now notices, starts Live Activities itself whenever you open it, and shows a notice in Up Next with the fix: switch Settings → Proximum → Live Activities off and on again. The notice disappears as soon as a Live Activity starts by itself again.
NO MORE DOUBLE LIVE ACTIVITIES (Pro)
In rare cases two identical Live Activities could appear for the same event. Now only one does.
Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.15 Oct 2
Scheduled Live Activities are now more dependable.
SCHEDULED LIVE ACTIVITIES STAY SCHEDULED (Pro)
Opening Proximum without a connection could cancel a Live Activity that was already scheduled, so it never appeared at its time. A scheduled Live Activity now stays in place until it is actually replaced or you turn Live Activity off.
If the connection drops while Proximum schedules a Live Activity, your iPhone holds it for the time being; the next time Proximum checks with a working connection, it hands it back to Proximum's service.
A schedule that has been replaced can no longer appear later alongside the new one, and Proximum now contacts its service far less often while a Live Activity is waiting to appear.
When Proximum tells you a Live Activity is scheduled, it now says whether Proximum or iOS will show it, and that the time comes from “Live Activity appears.”
Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.14 Sep 29
Choose how early the Live Activity appears on your Lock Screen: indefinitely, or 24, 12, 6 or 1 hour before an event. Existing settings use one hour, matching the previous default. The same limit applies after one event finishes, so a later event will not take over the Lock Screen days ahead unless you want it to. “Countdown begins” remains separate and controls when the event time becomes a live countdown.
Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.13 Sep 27
Live Activities recover in the background, and double bookings are now just as clear in the app as they are in the widget.
LIVE ACTIVITIES COME BACK (Pro)
If iOS retired a Live Activity, it could quietly disappear and stay gone until you opened Proximum. A background refresh can now restore the countdown without waiting for you to launch the app.
Scheduled Live Activities no longer depend on iOS waking Proximum at the countdown boundary. This fixes the case where the banner stayed missing until the app was opened and the screen locked again.
A Live Activity now carries on from one event to the next by itself. After a run of events the banner could stop and only return once you opened Proximum; the next one is now booked ahead of time and appears on its own.
Apple also ends every Live Activity after eight hours. When a countdown is still relevant, Proximum now renews it before that limit instead of letting it vanish. Apple requires the renewal to arrive with a short system alert; it is deliberately generic and contains no event, calendar or place. Each renewal now happens once, instead of occasionally arriving as a burst of repeated alerts.
Remote starts are more resilient too: if Apple accepts one but it never reaches the phone, Proximum can try again rather than treating that first attempt as permanent success.
CONFLICTS, RIGHT BESIDE THE EVENTS (Pro)
Double bookings were marked in the widget, but the same warning was easy to miss in the full agenda. Both overlapping events now show a clear red Conflict badge and time in Up Next, including conflicts several days away. Times and badges stay on one line, while an optional long location gives up space first.

1.2.11 Sep 17
Two fixes: one for the Lock Screen widget, one for the Live Activity.
THE WIDGET KEEPS ITS WHOLE LINE
An event at a long venue — a circuit, a conference centre, a full street
address — could cut its own line short, and the ellipsis landed in the middle
of the times, so those looked cut as well. The widget now measures the line as
it will really be drawn: when a venue will not fit it is left out rather than
the line being truncated, so the time you actually need stays whole. A venue
that fits still appears exactly as before, and long event names hold on to
their last word instead of trailing off.
THE COUNTDOWN CHANGES ON TIME, WHATEVER COMES NEXT (Pro)
1.2.9 taught the banner to change by itself while the phone is locked —
switching to count down to the end once your event starts, moving on to what
follows, and clearing itself when there is nothing left.
That did not take effect if the next thing in your calendar was more than a
week away. Nothing was scheduled at all in that case, so the banner sat on 0:00
until you next opened Proximum — the very thing 1.2.9 set out to fix. The
changes that matter in the next few hours are now scheduled on their own,
however far off the event after them is.
Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.10 Sep 13
The Lock Screen banner takes your theme, says which day it means, and keeps counting while your phone is locked.
YOUR THEME, ON THE LOCK SCREEN (Pro)
The banner and the Dynamic Island were the last of Proximum still fixed to the system's colors. They now use the theme you already chose for your widgets — including one you built yourself.
The dot and the countdown stay the color of the calendar the event came from, so a glance still says which part of your life this is. If you would rather the theme took those too, the same "Theme color for events" switch that does it on your widgets now does it here. On the System theme nothing changes at all.
WHICH DAY, NOT JUST WHICH TIME
A banner reading "13.30" quietly means today. But it is raised for whatever is next, which often is not today — so an event tomorrow afternoon could look like one that started this morning. It now says "Tomorrow 13.30–14.30", or names the weekday, or gives the date, whenever the event falls on another day. Events later the same day read exactly as before.
IT KEEPS UP WHILE THE PHONE IS LOCKED (Pro)
When your event began, the countdown stopped at 0:00 and stayed there until you next opened Proximum. iOS does not wake a sleeping app to redraw its own banner, so the fix could not be a local one: Proximum now schedules the changes through Apple's push service. The banner switches to counting down to the end when the event starts, moves on to your next event, and clears itself when there is nothing left — with the app closed the whole time.
This is the one part of Proximum that leaves your phone, so plainly: while the Live Activity is switched on, the details already shown on the banner — and an anonymous token for that banner — are held by Proximum's push service until its last scheduled update, then deleted. Usually minutes or hours, never more than eight days. No location, no account, nothing from your calendar beyond what the banner is already displaying. Turn the feature off and the stored job goes with it. Everything else still happens on your iPhone, and nothing is tracked, sold or used for advertising.
ALSO FIXED
• The countdown sits where it should at the right edge, and no longer crowds out the calendar name beside it
• Proximum can no longer remove a banner while it is in the background and then be refused permission to put it back
• A waiting banner is no longer discarded before iOS has had its chance to show it
• One that really is stuck is repaired as soon as you open Proximum
• Moving an event, or changing when the countdown begins, moves its waiting banner with it
• An out-of-date banner can no longer block a fresh one
• Switching the feature quickly off and on no longer lets the two cancel each other
• Turning Live Activities back on in iOS Settings takes effect straight away
• When a banner is scheduled, Proximum tells you the time it will appear rather than only that it will
Your calendar stays read-only. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.9 Sep 11
The Live Activity turns up when it should, and stays. Widgets stop showing grey bars while you edit them.
WHEN THE BANNER APPEARS (Pro)
It used to go up as soon as Proximum noticed the event — sometimes a day ahead — and Apple retires a Live Activity after about eight hours, so it was often gone by the time it mattered. It now appears at the countdown you choose under "Countdown begins".
On iOS 26 it starts on its own, even if Proximum has not been opened. Apple requires a scheduled Live Activity to announce itself, so there is a short system alert and sound at that moment. Settings explains this where you switch the feature on.
AND IT STAYS
The banner could vanish and stay gone with the button still switched on, until you opened the app — and opening the app did not always bring it back. A gap between events took it down. So did the App Store update itself. All of that is fixed: what you switched on stays on, and if iOS declines to schedule something far off, Proximum says so and tries again rather than going quiet.
It also moves on by itself. When an event finishes, the banner rolls straight to your next one without waiting for you to open Proximum — skipping anything that has already finished — and says so plainly when there is nothing left rather than sitting on a countdown of zero. Which event it follows no longer depends on how you have sorted or filtered your agenda.
ALSO FIXED
• Editing a Home Screen widget could leave it as grey placeholder bars instead of your events. Both the agenda and the week heat map now draw straight away
• The widget could insist no calendar was connected while the app was showing them all. It only ever asked once whether it had permission, and an answer given while an update was still settling stuck — so reinstalling was the only way out. It now goes by what it can actually read, every time it refreshes
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.8 Sep 8
The Live Activity is rebuilt — Proximum on your Lock Screen is now worth looking at.
A LOCK SCREEN BANNER, NOT A STRIP (Pro)
It used to be a colour bar, a title, a location and a countdown squeezed onto one row. It now uses the space it actually has:
• A background tinted with the event's own calendar colour, and the calendar's name above the title
• The full time range and the location
• A progress bar that advances on its own while the event runs
• A last line carrying either your leave-by time or what follows — "Then 15.30 Standup" — never both, because knowing when to leave outranks a preview
What comes next is worked out from the current moment, not from when the featured event started, so an event that began this morning no longer offers up something already past.
Switch it on with the bolt in Up Next.
ALSO FIXED
• A banner that disappeared for any reason never came back. The button stayed on, your Lock Screen stayed empty, and the only way out was switching it off and on again
• Turning it on with nothing left to count down to no longer flips itself back off without saying why — it tells you what it found instead
• The button is orange when the feature is on and grey when it is off, instead of changing with your light or dark theme
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.7 Sep 7
Three improvements to the Lock Screen widgets, mostly from your reports.
THE CIRCULAR WIDGET IS NOW YOUR CHOICE
It has always decided for itself — a countdown when your next event was close, the number of events left today when it wasn't. That rule is fine, but from the Lock Screen it looks like the widget changing its mind on its own, and there was no way to ask for one or the other.
• Automatic — the existing behaviour, still the default. Nothing changes unless you want it to
• Time until next — always counts down to your next event, however far out it is, now in minutes, hours or days rather than a long run of hours
• Events today — always shows how many events you have left
Choose it in Proximum → Widgets → Content → "Circular widget".
ALSO FIXED
• The event name on the rectangular widget keeps its full size instead of shrinking until it matched the smaller text beneath it. A long name wraps onto a second line rather than being squeezed onto one, so the event you are looking at reads as the main one again
• On Automatic, the ring no longer counts down to something hours away inside an empty circle. Within the window you set under "Countdown begins" it fills and counts down as before; past it, it shows how many events you have left today
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.6 Sep 5
Four new ways to shape your widget — and "Group by day" now works everywhere it said it did.
NEW — EACH STARTS SET TO WHAT YOU HAVE NOW
• Event progression — see how far through the current event you are, as a bar that fills (Horizontal) or a dot that slides down a track (Vertical), or switch it off entirely. One setting in Proximum → Widgets → Style, replacing the two separate progress switches
• Countdown begins — choose how close an event has to be before its clock time turns into a live countdown: 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, in Proximum → Widgets → Content. Further out, the scheduled time reads better than "in 7h 12m"
• Right side of a row — choose "Time until", "Start & end" (both times stacked, the way Apple's Calendar widget reads) or nothing, in Proximum → Widgets → Content
• Live Activity hold — when an event starts, keep it on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island for 15, 30 or 45 minutes, until it ends, or switch to the next event straight away. In Proximum → Settings under Pro Features
"GROUP BY DAY" NOW WORKS IN EVERY LAYOUT
It only ever worked in List. Spotlight and Timeline quietly ignored it, so the setting sat there doing nothing on two of the three layouts. If your widget is set to Spotlight or Timeline with grouping switched on, you'll see day headings on it for the first time — and one or two fewer events, because the headings take room. That is what the setting was always asking for. Turn grouping off in Proximum → Widgets → Content to get the space back.
ALSO FIXED
• A row could briefly read "Now" for an event that hadn't started yet
• The Live Activity could move to a different event when your calendar changed
• Swiping the Live Activity away from the Lock Screen no longer switches the feature off — it dismisses that one event and leaves the feature on for the next one, instead of needing the lightning button pressed again every time
• Pro features are now clearly marked as Pro, instead of looking available and then declining
• Leave-by is Proximum's own estimate, routed live from wherever you are. It isn't the Travel Time you may have set on an event in Apple Calendar — that one stays private to Calendar and no other app can read it. Proximum's settings now explain the difference
LOCK SCREEN
• The rectangular widget no longer crowds out its own text — both event names now appear in full rather than trailing off, and an event that has already started says "Now" instead of showing a start time that has passed
• The inline widget beside the clock keeps the event's name instead of spending the space on the day and time
• A multi-day event no longer shows the day it began while it is still running
• The countdown ring now says "left" while you are in an event, so it can't be mistaken for the time until the next one
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.5 Sep 3
Small things that were quietly wrong, put right.
WIDGETS
• With smart event icons on, an event that matched no icon was left without one at all, and its title sat out of line with the rows above and below it. Every row now keeps the same indent
• Week at a Glance counted overlapping meetings twice, so two meetings sharing an hour read as two busy hours instead of one. Days that looked fuller than they really were now read correctly
• Week at a Glance also counted the same meeting twice when it reached you through two accounts, and it now follows your chosen calendars and muted keywords like the rest of the app
• A setting you change is saved before your widgets are asked to redraw, so a quick run of changes can't leave a widget showing the previous one
MORNING DIGEST (PRO)
• A busy day no longer crowds out the days behind it — the digests for tomorrow and the day after arrive even when today is packed
PRO
• Buying Pro now works on the first tap, even when the App Store hasn't finished loading the price yet. If it truly can't be reached, you're told so instead of the button doing nothing
• A purchase that arrives in the background — restored on another device, or approved after a delay — is now completed properly instead of being offered to you again
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.4 Sep 1
All-day events can now take a back seat.
• Dim all-day events instead of hiding them — birthdays, holidays and out-of-office days stay on your widget, drawn faded and softly gray so the events with a real time stand out
• Switch it on in Proximum → Widgets → Content → "Dim all-day events"
• Works in every layout: List, Spotlight and Timeline
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.3 Aug 26
Widgets that keep up on their own.
WIDGETS THAT STAY CURRENT
• Add an event on your computer or another device and your widgets pick it up by themselves, usually within a quarter of an hour — no need to open Proximum first
• Widgets now ask your calendar accounts for new data instead of waiting for something else to do it
• The Week at a Glance heat map refreshes through the day rather than a few times a day
• Widgets no longer risk showing a schedule from earlier in the day
IN THE APP
• Events you add or change elsewhere appear on their own, without pulling to refresh
• Refresh now waits for the sync it asks for, instead of finishing before the new data arrives
• The day briefing, the free/busy line and the countdowns keep pace with the clock while the app is open
LEAVE-BY ALERTS
• Now works from the widget without opening the app first
• Every upcoming trip gets its own leave-by, so a busy subscribed calendar can no longer crowd out the one you care about
• Understands locations that are a map link or coordinates, not only a street address
• Looks a full day ahead, so an early ferry or flight is covered
• Says "Leave now" when the trip is longer than the time left, rather than showing nothing
• Settings explains why there is no leave-by — no address on the event, nothing found at that address, no route
FINDING WHAT'S MISSING
• The agenda now accounts for every upcoming event it isn't showing, and why — beyond your horizon, past what the list can fit, in a calendar you haven't selected, or muted
• Events without a location say so, instead of leaving a blank space
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.2 Aug 11
A fix-up release, all about your schedule staying current.
STAYING CURRENT
• Events you add or change elsewhere — in Google Calendar, in Calendar, on another device — now appear on their own, without pulling to refresh
• Refresh now waits for the sync it asks for, instead of finishing before the new data arrives
• The day briefing, the free/busy line and the countdowns keep pace with the clock while the app is open
• Widgets no longer risk showing a schedule from earlier in the day
LEAVE-BY ALERTS
• Now works from the widget without opening the app first
• Every upcoming trip gets its own leave-by, so a busy subscribed calendar can no longer crowd out the one you care about
• Understands locations that are a map link or coordinates, not only a street address
• Looks a full day ahead, so an early ferry or flight is covered

1.2.1 Aug 9
Two releases in one: the 1.1 visual overhaul, plus the all-new Proximum Pro.
A NEW LOOK
• Two new widget layouts — Spotlight, with your next event and a bold countdown, and Timeline, a vertical time-spine with a live "now" marker
• Smart event icons — flights, workouts, birthdays, meetings, calls and more
• A free/busy summary line: how many events today, and when you're next free
• A live progress bar on whatever's happening right now
• Themes recolor your entire widget, with an optional ambient glow in your accent color
• A Lock Screen countdown ring to your next event
• A beautifully redesigned in-app agenda
PROXIMUM PRO — a one-time unlock, never a subscription
• One-tap Join — Zoom, Meet, Teams, Webex and more, straight from the widget
• Leave-by travel alerts — Proximum works out when you need to head out, and tells you before you're late
• Live Activity — your next event on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
• Week at a Glance — a heat-map widget showing how busy your next seven days are
• Day briefing and double-booking alerts, written entirely on your device
• An optional morning digest notification
ALSO IMPROVED
• Lighter widget refreshes and noticeably less background battery use
• Packed and multi-day schedules fit properly, with a clean "+N more"
• Tap an event to open Proximum's own detail sheet or the full system event screen — your choice
• All-day events from calendars in other time zones no longer drift onto the wrong day
Your calendar is still read-only and stays on your iPhone. Thanks for using Proximum!
1.2.0 Aug 6
Fixes for Up Next and a morning digest you can trust.
