You just got greenlit.
GREENLIT is a satirical movie producer game where you get a budget, a cast, a script, and ten catastrophic decisions between you and a billion dollar box office.
Cast your movie from actors, actresses, and directors with different fees, skills, quirks, chemistry, and drama. The superstar might be worth it. They also might derail the entire production before opening weekend.
Survive production by swiping through satirical scenarios about studio notes, method actors, crypto financiers, podcast bros, AI de aging, review bombs, and marketing panic. Every choice changes your money, quality, and hype.
Then watch your film open in theatres through a live 10 week box office simulation with rival releases, marketing pushes, critic reactions, and unpredictable audience behavior.
Build your producer career by earning reputation, unlocking bigger budgets, buying permanent perks, chasing achievements, and producing sequels to your biggest hits.
Daily Challenge gives every player the same film each day. Same cast, same chaos, same shot at bragging rights.
Free players can produce one film per day. Premium is a one time unlock that adds unlimited films, all genres, elite talent, full filmography history, and deeper stats.
Can you turn a production disaster into a billion dollar movie?

The layout is kind of boring and basic. Other than making movies and answering questions there is really nothing to do. I do like that you don’t start with no money like other games, but this game needs more to stand out. There could be like producer rankings and streaming service offers to movie you make. Also, it would be cool to have posters you could upload to it for movies. Other games have like an imbd type thing but this has like nothing. There is not a dedicated place to see your progress and your movies. Another thing is the actors. It is hard to connect to a cast when you have no idea who they are. You could just let people customize them by themselves and have like an actor pool instead of having these super basic generic npcs. Overall the game is ok, but has countless room for improvement.
Developer Response
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. We agree that producing a film should feel like part of a larger career, not an isolated run. Greenlit will remain a fast decision game, but there is plenty of room to make its world and progression feel deeper. We appreciate the specific suggestions.
My review
MalakaiMac
Ehhh I kinda hate the layout of the game. You can’t see any of the actor and actress past movies and can’t see other studios. Kinda a letdown.
Developer Response
Thanks for the honest feedback. Greenlit is designed as a fast movie production decision game, but we agree that cast filmographies should be easier to find and the industry should feel more alive. We’re improving the casting layout and exploring rival studio features for a future update.
- Now you can create custom plots
- Localization support for Spanish and Hindi
- TV show and UI fixes
- Decide episode lengths and more
