AwakeBar is a lightweight native menu bar utility that keeps your Mac awake when you need it—without Terminal, scripts, or administrator access.
Start in seconds:
• Choose 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, or Forever
• Create a custom hour-and-minute timer
• Stay awake until a specific time
• Extend an active timer by 15, 30, or 60 minutes
Control sleep behavior:
• Allow the display to sleep while the Mac stays awake
• Or keep the display awake for presentations, file transfers, and long-running tasks
Protect your battery:
• Set a Battery Guard threshold from 10% to 50%
• Limit awake sessions to external power
• Automatically resume after power reconnects without extending the original deadline
AwakeBar is native, lightweight, and built for macOS. It uses macOS power assertions, requires no administrator privileges, and collects no data.
Note: AwakeBar prevents idle sleep. Closing a MacBook lid or choosing Sleep can still put your Mac to sleep.
