Your practice is a firm now, even if it is a firm of one. Every account gets a Firm tab: the work you have not billed yet, the bills themselves in Word, PDF and Excel, payments, timekeeper summaries and your client list all live there. A practice of one asks nobody to approve an entry, so time is billable the moment you save it. Add a second person and the review queue and per-seat billing switch on. Also in this version: - Firm bills carry everything personal bills do: LEDES files, QuickBooks import, reminders. - A firm can have more than one administrator, and you choose how many approvals a bill needs. - A review screen built for a desk: keyboard shortcuts, search, remembered filters. - Client rates and matters are edited from Settings, where you expect them. - The app is easier on the phone: it no longer animates when nothing is happening. - A new account opens straight into the app; the subscription screen no longer appears first. - Buying a plan closes the plan screen.

Mark any entry no charge: • Time or a cost you decide not to bill now carries a No charge marker, set with one tap before you save or added later by editing the entry • The entry still prints on the invoice with its hours, so your client sees the work that was done, and the amount reads No charge • It stays out of the invoice total, out of your unbilled figure, out of what trust money can be applied to, and out of the QuickBooks export • Firms: a reviewer can mark another timekeeper's time no charge from the review queue, and the change is recorded in that entry's history Also in this update: • The quick microphone waits longer before deciding you have finished, so a pause mid-sentence no longer ends the entry • A phone number can be kept with each client's billing details, for your reference only. It is never printed on a bill • Fixed: a client's billing email did not always save

Trust accounting: • A trust ledger for every client and every matter — deposits, payments out, and the amounts applied to bills, recorded to the cent • OnPoint will not accept a transaction that would take a ledger below zero on any date • Bills show the amount applied from trust, the balance after it, and a replenish request when the balance falls below the target you set • Reconcile each month against your bank statement: enter the closing balance, mark what cleared, and save the reconciliation as a record • Export the reconciliation to Excel or PDF, and post trust transactions to QuickBooks against a liability account • OnPoint keeps the records only — it does not connect to your bank and does not hold or move money Also new: • LEDES 1998B files for carriers that require them • A QuickBooks CSV of your invoices, and an optional billing folder that files each bill as it's exported

Costs and expenses. Log a filing fee, service of process, or copying charge right on the capture card using the new Time/Cost switch. Costs print on your bills in their own section with their own subtotal, and they're never multiplied by your hourly rate. Firms review costs exactly like time, and they flow onto the consolidated firm bill. A gentler ask. After you've saved a few entries, OnPoint asks once whether you'd rate it. If you decline, it never asks again.
