Three ten-second smile breaks a day. A small, science-backed lift for your mood — free, private, and nothing is ever collected. Most smiles just happen to you — a friend, a joke, a dog in the park. Daily Beam is about the other kind: the smile you choose. Ten seconds, three times a day, on purpose. Why on purpose? Because it works — a little, for real. In a study across 19 countries, choosing to smile gave people a small, genuine mood lift — about the same as looking at a photo of a puppy. Daily Beam gives you both at once. And why an app? Because the hard part isn't smiling — it's remembering. Daily Beam does the remembering: gentle nudges, a streak worth keeping, pictures that make smiling easy. You bring the smile. How it works: • Open Daily Beam and start a smile break. • Look at a warm picture from your chosen groups. • Face the camera and hold a real smile. • The camera notices your smile on-device. • The ring fills, and the smile counts. One smile keeps your streak alive. Three smiles makes a perfect day. A sunny day pass can keep a streak glowing when life gets in the way. Choose the pictures that work for you: baby animals, cozy scenes, flowers, landscapes, ocean views, babies, cute animals, and smiling people. Add up to three gentle local reminders if you want a nudge. Free. No account. No uploads. No analytics. No ads. No tracking. No photos saved. Nothing collected — ever. Your face never leaves your phone. Daily Beam is a small nudge, not medical advice. Smiling won't fix a hard day — but ten warm seconds, three times a day, is a real little lift. And smiles tend to spread — the people around you catch them too.
