Pip's voice is steadier and more reliable. Every answer now plays at the same comfortable volume, and speech is much less likely to stall mid-sentence. When Pip needs to gently point your child to a trusted grown-up, that moment now happens straight away and is saved for you to review.

Pip is friendlier than ever: brighter eyes, a happy hello when you arrive, livelier listening and thinking, and a gentle sleeping breath at bedtime. Home now has two big illustrated choices, Ask something and My stories. And there's a new app icon, with dark and tinted Home Screen styles.

Meet the new Pip: a softer look, expressive conversation animations and a glowing bedtime presentation. Parent safety notes now put items needing attention first, with clearer conversation links and on-device notification settings. We have also improved large-text layouts, navigation and recovery when saving a review.

Pip now understands your child even when the device's dictation language doesn't match its region — if the English voice model Pip expects isn't installed, it automatically uses the one that is, so tap-to-talk just works. Grown-ups can also now rate Pip any time from Settings → Help.

Pip listens more reliably. On devices where the microphone or speech recognition isn't available, Pip now lets grown-ups know exactly what to check instead of ending the chat unexpectedly — and stories keep flowing even when Pip can't hear. Story pages also read more smoothly on smaller iPhones, with text that fades gently instead of cutting off.

Pip now runs on iPhones and iPads on iOS 18 or later, so more of the family's devices can join in. This update also brings a refreshed App Store listing and small reliability improvements.

Pip is now built for iPad, with layouts designed for larger screens. This update also improves the parental gate and Home layout on shorter displays, story playback and pause/resume, and overall reliability.
