• Manage your subscription right from Settings. • If a photo, markup, logo or export can't be saved (for example when your device is out of storage), the app now tells you instead of failing quietly. • On iPad: ⌘N starts a new report and ⌘, opens Settings on a hardware keyboard, you can drag photos onto the photo checklist, and pressing and holding a report gives more options, including Open New Window. • Works better with VoiceOver and larger text: answer buttons say which question they belong to, empty values read "Not recorded", and buttons are easier to hit with gloves on. • Apple Watch: Hail and Wind answers always land in the order you tapped them. • Spreadsheet (CSV) export now includes each room's floor area, perimeter and wall area, using the room scan where there is one. Plus smaller fixes.

• If a report changes after you sign it, the Grade screen now says so, so you can re-sign before you send it. • You can now remove a signature. • Faster start-up and a smoother office inbox when you keep hundreds of reports. • Sending to the office keeps working if you delete or mark up a photo while it sends. Plus smaller fixes.

Measuring • Pitch now includes 1/12 and 11/12. • No pitch recorded? The screen shows the footprint and asks for a pitch, the same as the PDF, instead of a flat-roof squares figure. • Trace the Roof warns when corners are tapped out of order and the outline crosses itself. • The pitch gauge holds its reading until the phone rests on the roof, instead of re-locking to your hand. • Room sizes can be typed with decimals, such as 13.5. Report and PDF • Steep and high roofs are noted on the PDF and CSV: "Steep roof (7/12 or steeper)" and "High roof (2+ stories)". • On a hurricane (Named Event) claim, a reminder to document the attic and every damaged room. • The CSV now leaves out answers the PDF leaves out, so the two always agree. • "Fixtures" in room scans is now "Fixtures / Pendants". • Reports with 100 or more photos export, send to the office and open much faster, and use far less memory. • Deductible and Coverage A amounts keep exactly what you type, decimals included. • Dates and dollar amounts on the PDF and CSV always use US format, whatever language your phone is set to. Photos • Each roof facing on the Slopes screen can now hold its own photos, labeled like "South – photo 2" and grouped by facing in the PDF. • Marking up a photo again keeps your earlier marks. • Larger photo buttons for gloved hands, and faster thumbnails. • If camera access is off, the app says so and how to turn it on. Notes • Tidy up my notes is stricter: it refuses a draft that drops a sentence or changes a word's meaning. Sync and sharing • Changes from your other devices arrive more reliably, including after a network drop. • If your iCloud account changes while the app is open, the app tells you what to do. • Replacing a report from a package is safer when the same report is open on another device. • A note from the office now shows on the report in your list, so you know the office has a question. Plans • Settings shows your plan and how many of your 3 free reports you've used, with Restore Purchases. Plus smaller fixes and VoiceOver improvements.

Photos you import keep the original picture and the camera's details, so the file matches what you picked. Personal details some cameras add, like the owner's name and serial numbers, are removed. The Review & Save screen now shows the same hail and wind counts as the PDF, and solar lines no longer show a question mark when a count wasn't entered. Fixes: a free report whose customer details you erased no longer counts twice, and replacing a report from a damaged file keeps the photos and markups you already had. Photo times on the report now show the time zone where each photo was taken, and the date of loss stays the same calendar day on every device. Record a test square slope by slope: a slope you tested and found nothing on now prints as zero hits. When the company letterhead is edited on two devices, the most recent edit now wins everywhere. "Restore my original" for tidied notes now works on any of your devices that sync the report. On iPad, sign reports with Apple Pencil or your finger, with palm rejection so your hand can rest on the screen. Long notes and long company names now print in full on the PDF. Skylights and solar tubes now have pictures in the Details picker. Radar hail is looked up even when the weather archive can't be reached. Apple Watch counts stay in step with your iPhone, even during fast crown turns. Transparent company logos print on a clean white background.

If your device runs out of storage, Roofing Expert now tells you it couldn't save your latest changes instead of failing silently. It keeps trying, and the note clears itself once a save works. When you import a report you already have, the app now compares what's actually in each copy before offering to replace yours, and tells you if your copy has photos the file doesn't. Tidy up my notes now keeps your original wording, with a Restore my original button. Real photos for the roofing materials and vents in the pickers, and sharper roof-shape pictures on larger screens. Easier to read at the largest text sizes: buttons, counters and pickers no longer break words in half.

Your report reads more accurately to the adjuster. Hail and wind counts now match the slope table, slopes with no damage are summed up in one line, typed room sizes are labeled as typed, marked-up photos say so, and storm and photo details no longer print more precisely than the data allows. Deleting a report now asks first. And if this device's iCloud account changes while sync is on, a backup copy of your reports is saved, so they can be restored from Settings. Press and hold a photo to move it to the right shot or delete it. Hurricane and other non-thunderstorm gusts now show up in the Storm Checker. Reports with many photos now come into the office in smaller pieces, so a large report is less likely to fail partway. If one item from your company can't be read, everything else still comes through, and the app tells you what to ask your crew to send again. Inspectors' devices now keep the office's review notes for their own reports only. Easier to read at the largest text sizes, better with VoiceOver, and more reliable Apple Watch tallies. CSV files now open cleanly in spreadsheet apps.

Now uses the full width of the cover screen on foldable iPhones. Fixed: in the office's crew inbox, a report could stay on "newer version available" when one of its photos was missing from the inspector's phone. Sending reports between the field and the office is more dependable. Fixed: storm weather and radar hail on the report now always match the date of loss.

Report packages now open in Roofing Expert from Files, Mail or Messages, with the usual check before anything replaces a report you already have. Sending reports to your company is more dependable: photo caption and markup changes now reach the office, and the office can no longer mistake an older copy for the latest. If your Apple Account is in two companies, the app now says so and pauses sending, instead of sending to the wrong one.

Text in Roofing Expert now follows your iPhone or iPad text size setting, including the larger accessibility sizes. At the standard size nothing moves, and your PDF reports look the same whatever size you choose. VoiceOver now reads each damage counter as a single control, saying what is being counted and the number, and you can swipe up or down to change it. Photo checklist boxes say whether each shot is checked, and text fields, dates and buttons that were read as bare icons now say what they are. Larger tap areas on the photo checklist boxes and on the buttons that remove a moisture reading, a structure or a penetration. If a report fails to send to your company, the app now explains why in plain words instead of showing an error number.

Signed reports no longer print a warning saying they were changed when nothing was changed. Adding the satellite exhibit at export time counted as an edit to the signed document; it does not any more. Photos sent to the office now carry how they were taken — captured in the app or imported from a file — so the office can tell the difference on the report. Fixes throughout for anyone recording interior rooms and sending reports between the field and the office.

• Photos imported from your library now keep the date and place they were taken, instead of the moment you imported them. • Storm and hail lookups now use the day you set, not the next one. • Deductibles typed with a comma — 2,500 — are read correctly. • The roof squares figure now matches the pitch printed beside it. • Your typed photo captions now appear on the report. • A report changed after it was signed now says so. • Room measurements that no longer match a scan now say so. • A photo saved without a location now tells you. • Anything you've typed survives folding or resizing an iPad. • Inspectors no longer keep a copy of the company's customer list.

Fixes. • Opening a report file that is already on your device now asks before replacing it, and tells you which copy is newer. • Measuring a room no longer lowers a damage count you entered by hand. A scan can only raise a count. • Saving a signature no longer removes the previous one if the save fails.

Fixes and refinements. • The Penetration Schedule now prints in a consistent order every time, so two copies of the same report always match. • Tap the security code when you send a sealed inspection to a public adjuster to copy it. • The room measuring button on the Interior tab is now called Measure Room. • The Apple Watch app now shows the correct app name. • Fixed: a room where nothing was marked as damaged could print as though every fixture in it was damaged.

Measure a room with your phone. Scan it and the square footage, ceiling height, windows and doors come back, with the room drawn to its own shape rather than squared into a box. Fans, pendants, can lighting, AC vents and smoke detectors you count yourself — no scanner sees a ceiling fan. Scanning needs a LiDAR device (iPhone 12 Pro or later, or an iPad Pro); typed measurements work on every iPhone, exactly as before. Interior rooms are now a schedule rather than a damage list: every item is counted, and how many of those are damaged is recorded beside it. Smoke detectors added. Measurements read in feet and inches to the quarter inch everywhere they appear, and the printed report carries an Interior Schedule — per room, the dimensions, the area, the perimeter, and what was in it with damage marked.

• The Reports title no longer truncates to "Roof Repo…" when you turn the phone sideways. • Some component rows now show a photograph of the part instead of a symbol. • On iPad, the selected report stays readable after you tap into the detail pane.

The app now rotates to landscape on iPhone.

Performance and reliability improvements.

Resize Roofing Expert's window on iPad and the report you're working on stays open. The customer's name at the top of a report is now easier to read on iPhone. Built for iOS 27.

Deleting a report now also deletes its photos, markups, signature and map image from your device. Before, they stayed in the app's storage until the app itself was deleted.

A new app icon. And "Use This for the Whole Company" now tells you whether the letterhead saved — it used to finish silently whether it worked or not.

Photo timestamps now record the time zone the photo was taken in, and always use the Gregorian calendar — so dates read correctly no matter how the phone is set. Storm lookups use the same corrected dates.

Photo-heavy reports are much smaller. Photos are now downsampled before they go into the PDF — a six-photo report could previously render past the 25 MB limit most email providers enforce, which meant the finished report would not send to the adjuster at all. The built-in demo report's sample mortgage company is now fictional, finishing the sample-data cleanup started in 2.0.4.

Sample data in the built-in demo report now uses clearly fictional insurance carriers and addresses. iPad screenshots have been updated to portrait.

This update corrects the sample data shown in our App Store screenshots. There are no changes to how the app works — 2.0.2's fixes to the photo appendix, large photo sends and iCloud messages are all still here.

FIXES • A photo that hasn't reached this device yet is now marked clearly in the report's photo appendix. Before, the page printed the shot name, capture time and GPS under an empty box — which reads like documentation of something that was never documented. • Sending a large set of photos now uploads in small batches, so a dropped connection on a roof no longer restarts the whole thing. Before, one interruption meant re-sending every photo from the beginning. • When iCloud asks the app to slow down, it now waits and retries instead of failing straight away. • When a company's iCloud storage is full, the app says so plainly — and says whose account needs the space — instead of reporting a generic error.
