The screen after a statement is read is now a list of what will happen. Corrections to operations you already have come first, with the old amount struck through; anything you don't want goes with a swipe and comes back from the pile below; the button names both numbers. Lines the bank gave no category to are added as they are. An operation remembers where it happened. Its time is shown in the zone you recorded it in, and its day is fixed when you record it — an evening purchase abroad no longer lands under yesterday, and monthly totals no longer depend on where you opened the app. Everything recorded before this stays exactly where it was.

The first one is on us. One statement, one multi-expense dictation and one receipt are read for free, without a subscription: the app shows what it does before it asks for anything — and it asks when you come back for a second one, not over the result it just handed you. The price screen that opened right after signing up is gone. The app opens on the main screen, and the offer appears where you meet a paid feature. The budgets button explains that budgets are Premium instead of opening an empty screen. A new icon with a light and a dark variant. A category in a trip report opens to its operations. A trip's currency is chosen by search.

Small fixes: the dark theme, Russian wording, voice entry.

In the dark theme the band under the buttons no longer looks lighter than the cards. It takes the page's own colour, and what passes behind it still blurs.

The budget ring in the main screen's bar is a plain button now: budgets, stats and search sit together on the right, the trip apart on the left. Budgets have their own page — how much of the month's total is spent, whether that's ahead of the calendar, and every category with what's left, editable right there. In Stats the budget sits on the category itself. A new "Closest goal" card says which month the goal lands on at the current contribution.

A card payment now ends by itself. The confirmation no longer waits to be dismissed — the expense is recorded and the phone can go back in your pocket. A card still appears where you are actually needed: the terminal never reported the amount, or nothing categorised the expense. A broken server no longer passes itself off as a lost connection. When the server isn't answering, the banner says so, and when it keeps not answering the app offers to sign in again rather than showing yesterday's figures forever. Large amounts no longer meet an invisible ceiling. An account holding a hundred million drams, a transfer of tens of millions, a category budget of the same size — all of it saves now. Before, the app refused the amount and the server answered with an error.

The dashed forecast counts planned payments in every currency, not only the base one. A rouble payment on a dollar account never moved the line before, though the figures beneath it had counted it all along. Share a receipt or a statement from any app and Obolos is in the list. A photo arrives as a receipt and is read on the spot; a file arrives as a statement, ready to reconcile against an account.

An expense with no category is visible in the list at last: a grey question mark instead of an anonymous tile. Tap it to pick a category straight from the feed, without opening the expense. Note suggestions now search every expense in the category, not just the recent ones. Start typing and a caption from two months ago comes back. Statement reconcile: a line where the bank named no payee no longer fails the whole import. A reconcile rule can be typed in lower case — the field used to force capitals, which never affected what a rule matches.

Small improvements under the hood.

A way to write to the developer: Settings → Contact the developer. Wishes, bugs, whatever annoys you. Leave an address or a handle and the answer comes back to it. An Apple Wallet card tap asks for the category again. In 1.7.1 it stopped asking and filed the expense without one — that was a mistake. It asks as it always did, and if the question goes unanswered the expense is still recorded, just uncategorised.

Statement reconcile: more at once, and errors that make sense. • Up to 500 operations per scan — three times what it was — and all of them can be added. • Statement too long to read in full? You get the part that was read, and a clear note that it is only the beginning. • The count of operations read is visible while the scan runs. • Spreadsheets from banks that mis-declare their encoding now read correctly; merchant names used to arrive as gibberish. • Errors in your language, and with the remedy: which period to take, which export to prefer. An Apple Wallet card tap records the expense even when the automation has no category selected. App Lock no longer asks for Face ID when you were away for less than a minute.

• 160 emoji, grouped: food, home, transport, life, leisure, work and money. The emoji sits on the category's colour, the way the icon did. • 136 icons, up from 78 — tools and plumbing, carsharing and motorcycle, lab tests and optics, theatre and board games, reports and documents. • Icons and emoji have a tab each, with one search box across both: type "coffee" and each tab shows its own count.

• Fixed a crash on first launch on Apple Silicon Macs. • The subscription screen no longer hangs when prices can't load.

• Statement reconcile no longer warns that a row needs a category when it has been marked as a transfer between accounts — the button was already enabled and the warning was arguing with it. • Dates on the reconcile screen follow your language instead of a hardcoded English month table. In English they lose the leading zero: "Jul 4", not "04 Jul". • Voice entry no longer leaves a double space where the amount was cut out of the note. • New accounts created on a Russian phone start with Russian category names. Existing accounts are untouched.

Speaking an expense and photographing a receipt are now free. • Voice and receipt scan work on any account. Your phone does the reading — say "coffee three dollars" or point the camera at a receipt, and the draft opens filled in. Nothing leaves the device. • Numbers said as words are understood. "Three dollars", "полторы тысячи", "one thousand five hundred" — no need to spell them out in digits. • When your phone can't read it, Obolos says so and offers Smart mode, instead of leaving you at an empty keypad. Smart mode stays Premium: it handles crumpled receipts, faint print, languages your phone has no OCR for, and several expenses said in one sentence. • Statement matching now tells you it's Premium when you open it, not after you've picked and uploaded a file. • The camera opens straight away — no blank panel on the way.

Widgets, so your money is on the home screen instead of one tap away. • Balance — the same figure the app opens with, Available or Total, whichever you've chosen, with this month's spending under it. A button adds a transaction without hunting for the app first. • Upcoming — the planned payments due next, and when. • Balance and upcoming — both at once, in a wider one. They read what the app already knows, so they work with no signal and don't spend your battery checking. Add them the usual way: press and hold the home screen, tap +, and look for Obolos.

Statistics now answer which account the money came out of. • Every account that moved money this period is listed under the totals, with its share of the spending. Tap one and the whole screen narrows to it — its own balance chart, its own totals, its own categories. Tap it again to widen back out. • Switching accounts is instant and works without a connection: the period arrives already split, so nothing is fetched when you choose. • The Year chart drew a flat line where a year of history belonged. Fixed — it now shows the real shape of the year, on every account. Also in this release: • Light or dark, your choice. Settings → Appearance: Automatic, Light or Dark. • Category breakdowns no longer stop at six. The rest are one tap away, with their total and share, so the percentages add up. • Each category shows how often you spent on it, not only how much. • Budgets are read against the month: "day 12 of 31 · 40% spent" tells you whether you are ahead or behind. • Calmer motion throughout. Figures roll where they sit instead of the screen rearranging around them.

• Voice entry now works in every language your iPhone can transcribe — around sixty, picked in Settings. • Reconciling with a bank statement is where you'd look for it: at the top of Settings, on the account itself, and in the Add menu. • Privacy Policy and Terms are now readable inside the app.

• Internal improvements to diagnostics and stability.

• Fixed: deleting a transfer from the main list now works. • Minor stability improvements.

Add by voice — now several at once • Say a list: "coffee 500, taxi 1200, groceries 4300 from Ardshin, salary 4200 dollars" — Obolos lays it out as draft operations to review. • Tap a row to fine-tune it in the usual editor, swipe to drop one, then add them all in one go. • It picks up mixed languages, currencies, categories and dates from what you said. Also • Deleting an entry — and marking a planned payment paid or skipped — now counts down right in the row, with an Undo button, so you can act on several at once. • Stability fixes, including a crash when creating an account on Mac.

Offline mode • Open Obolos without a connection and see your latest data right away. • Add expenses, income, and transfers while offline — they queue up and sync automatically once you're back online. • A slim indicator under the island shows when you're offline or syncing. Statement reconciliation • Reconcile now understands transfers between your own accounts, so a transfer line is no longer counted as spending or income. • Pick how strict amount matching is — Exact, Normal, or Loose — handy for amounts you jotted down by hand. • Clear guidance when a statement has too many rows to reconcile at once. Restore from backup • Bring your data back from a backup file. Also • A little celebration when you reach a savings goal. • Smoother transaction feed — no flicker when deleting, and it keeps your scroll position.

Fixes and reliability - Account colors now match what you picked, everywhere in the app. - Opening an account from the list no longer occasionally drew the list back over it. - Payment reminders are more reliable: the app now asks for notification permission right when you create a payment, and re-registers for push whenever you return to the app. - Statement reconciliation now clearly explains how your file is processed, and respects the Smart recognition setting.

App Lock Require Face ID or your passcode to open Obolos. Payment reminders Obolos now reminds you before a planned payment falls due — and if now isn't the moment, you can push the reminder to tomorrow straight from the notification. Budget alerts Give a category a monthly limit and you'll hear from us when 80% of it is gone, and again when it runs out. There's a switch in Settings if you'd rather not. Undo Deleting a record, marking a payment paid and skipping one now wait a few seconds before they take effect — a mistap costs nothing. Russian throughout The whole app, notifications included, now speaks Russian. Getting around Settings is a page rather than a sheet, every screen closes the same way, and the header no longer shifts as you move between screens. Also: Reduce Motion is respected, VoiceOver reads the icon buttons out loud, loading states are clearer, and the account form has room to breathe.
