When a medication runs low, your schedule now says so. A Running Low card lists everything that needs a pharmacy trip, soonest first, and a medication with no refills left says that too. When you pick up the new bottle, tap Mark as Refilled: the supply count starts over from a full bottle, the fill date moves to today, and one refill is spent. Before this, Pillot kept counting down the old bottle and could warn you about a prescription you had just collected. If you are not refilling something, say so right on the card and Pillot stops asking. Also in this release: deleting a person now asks first and is clear that their dose history goes with them, adding and renaming people uses one consistent form everywhere, and dozens of small size and color details were tidied so the whole app reads more evenly.

A prescription that runs for a set time now stops when it should. When your label says something like six weeks, Pillot works out the last day, shows you that date before you save, and says it counted from the fill date so you can change it if you started later. Reminders end on that day and the medication moves to your Archive. Before this, a course with an end printed on the label went on reminding you forever. Type a medication in by hand and Pillot now asks for a dosage and a time, so it can actually remind you. A hand-entered medication could previously be saved with no schedule at all, and would quietly never notify you. Scanning is clearer. The schedule Pillot read from your label now appears while you are still reviewing it, instead of showing up only after you save, and it tells you when those times are Pillot’s own defaults rather than something your label printed. A prescription with no refills left is flagged on that same screen. Medication names keep their proper capitalization. Also in this release: clearer wording about what Premium includes, and small fixes to the profile list and the history legend.

Typing a medication in by hand no longer uses up your free scan. Pillot now counts only the medications you scanned, so you can add as many as you like by hand and your free scan is still there when you want it. As-needed medications can now be logged on a past day. If you took one last night and forgot to record it, open that day and log it with the time you took it. Also in this release: clearer wording about what is free, and a refreshed App Store listing.

Small release, sharper details. - Scanned details that deserve a second look now wear a bigger CHECK badge, sitting right under the dates. - Pillot cross-checks a label’s dates and flags anything that doesn’t add up, like a fill date after the expiration. - Pick dates from a calendar instead of typing them. - Every date now reads the same way, everywhere in the app.

Pillot now follows your phone’s appearance. Turn on dark mode in your iPhone’s settings and the whole app comes with you: schedule, history, reminders, every screen. For phones that hold more than one person’s medications: - Adding a medication now names the person you are adding it for. - Filed a med under the wrong person? Open it, tap More, and move it to the right one, or to a new person entirely. - Pausing, archiving, deleting, or moving a med now confirms what happened. - History notes when a medication was archived, restored, or deleted, so a quiet stretch explains itself. Also in this release: dose options now stack in one clear menu with icons, and dozens of small touches are smoother in both light and dark.

A cleaner medication page. Edit now sits at the top, and everything else, including Delete, lives under the More button, so the record itself is easier to read. Pillot now cleans up label photos left over from scans you started but didn’t finish. A photo of a prescription label should never sit on your phone unless a medication is using it. Clearer wording about the free plan in Settings, better VoiceOver labels, and the tip pointing at your dose time no longer covers the Take button.

Care for more than one person. Pillot now holds up to five people on one phone, each with their own medications, schedule, reminders and history. Tap the name at the top of any screen to switch between them. Reminders say whose dose it is. “Time for Mom’s Lisinopril” arrives even while you are looking at your own day. If you use Pillot just for yourself, nothing changes: one person, one scanned medication, and unlimited medications entered by hand, all still free. Caring for more people is part of Premium, and if a subscription ever lapses, every person you added keeps their reminders and history.

Reminders now break through Focus and Do Not Disturb. A medication reminder that arrives silently has failed at its one job, so dose reminders and snoozes now use Apple's Time Sensitive level and appear even during a Focus. You stay in control: iOS Settings gives Pillot a Time Sensitive toggle, and you can turn it off there any time. Refill and check-in reminders deliberately stay at the normal level. Only the reminders that are about this exact minute break through.

Skip or snooze a dose without waiting. Every dose now has a menu on its card, so you can skip one ahead of time, snooze the reminder 30 minutes, or record that you already took it. A snoozed dose says so on the card, and the snooze can be cancelled. Reminders now respect what you already did. Take or skip a dose ahead of time and that dose's reminder stays quiet for the day, instead of telling you to take medication you already took. Handwritten and compounded labels. Pillot is built to read printed pharmacy labels, so when a photo is a handwritten prescription or a compounded preparation, it now tells you before you review it and offers to let you type the details in instead. Nothing it did manage to read is thrown away. Fixed: evening reminders for medications on courses or every-few-days rhythms could quietly drop off the schedule for the rest of the night. Fixed: reminders that came due while Pillot was open vanished without a trace. They are now recorded in Notification Center. Fixed: the note you add when logging an as-needed dose now shows in History. Fixed: fill and expiration dates could show in different formats depending on the label. They now read the same way everywhere, and medications you already saved correct themselves.

Schedules that alternate. Set a medication to run for a number of days, then rest for a number of days, and repeat. Birth control packs, topical courses, and anything your label describes as weeks on and weeks off. Scanning reads them too, so a label saying "apply daily for 2 weeks, then stop for 2 weeks" fills itself in. Fixed: a medication whose schedule matched its label could be wrongly flagged as differing from it. Fixed: setting a schedule from the Schedule tab left a stale message saying we could not schedule it.

Repeat schedules: set each medication to every day, every few days, or certain days of the week. Weekly meds now remind you only on their day. Enter a medication by hand right from the start screen, including its times and repeat. Creams and other topicals are logged as applications instead of being counted like pills. Pillot now says when your schedule differs from the label, and tells you plainly when a label describes a pattern it cannot schedule yet, with an optional reminder to check back. Plus clearer editing and many small fixes.

Deleting a medication now also deletes the photo of its label. Before this update, the record went away but the picture stayed on your device. Getting into the app without scanning is clearer. The way past the scanner is a button now, not a small link, so you can go straight to your schedule and add medications later.
