Turn “What should I practice today?” into a clear next step. Guitar Practice Room brings together an acoustic guitar path, 80 short lessons, chord-section sheets and daily goals. Start with one string and work through the 90-day curriculum at your own pace.
Start with one string
Your first practice has two microphone checks, visible progress and a way to resume the unfinished block. Lessons unlock as prerequisites are completed, and completed lessons can be practiced again.
Make time for a small session
Two-minute timed practice supports pause, resume and your own completion check. Explore 72 practice pieces with static chord-accompaniment sections. Five selected pieces offer timed section repeats and bookmarks that keep your piece, section, tempo and capo ready for next time.
Tune, play and listen back
Six-string tuning, single-note checks and open-chord feedback are analyzed on device. Detection audio is neither saved nor uploaded. The metronome and reference tones are synthesized locally. Record performances of up to 180 seconds and keep up to 24 takes. Play, delete, protect milestones or export them, and listen side by side to takes with matching piece, section, tempo and capo.
See your practice add up
Practice history, review suggestions and weekly goals help you plan your next step. Reminders are optional. Microphone results and self-assessment are shown separately. Retry a failed progress save and recover recordings left unarchived after an interruption.
Comfortable on iPhone and iPad
Layouts adapt to portrait, landscape, window width and larger text. Wide screens place practice and feedback side by side; narrow windows and larger text use a single column. Layout changes preserve your current practice, favorites and capo settings.
How practice works
Rhythm, chord changes, two-minute practice and song sections use timed guidance with your confirmation or self-assessment. They do not complete a whole lesson automatically or provide automatic full-song scores. Comparing takes is a listening tool, not an automatic measure of improvement. Sheets are static chord sections. This version has no teacher demonstration audio/video or prerecorded backing tracks.
No account, ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases
Practice records stay on device. Performance recordings are not uploaded automatically; you can export them through the system share sheet. Usage analytics is off by default. Only when enabled does Umeng receive feature events, installation identifiers and SDK device/network information. You can turn it off in Settings; see the privacy policy for details.
The 90-day path organizes the curriculum. It does not promise a particular skill level by a deadline. Begin with one small goal and build your own practice rhythm.
