- Subscribers whose subscription renewed while the app was closed are let in again: the paywall shows briefly while the app asks the App Store, then the app opens by itself. It also re-checks when you switch back to it or come back online. - Captions now reach XMP as well as IPTC, and the default captions name both teams again. Apply Event writes the sport code (SPO) to Category, the venue to XMP, and groups tagged players by team. - A rating or label tapped just before Delete is no longer lost (and no longer errors). - Label colours, field placeholders and warning/positive text follow the design system and are easier to read. - Photo file names no longer reach crash reports.

Fixed: the app would not open on the newest macOS and iOS. It closed immediately at launch, before showing anything. If you have updated your Mac, iPhone or iPad recently and the app stopped opening, this release is the fix. Nothing on your card or in your settings was affected. This release also carries everything since 1.0.29. Upload destinations now tell you what actually went wrong. Test Connection used to answer "Connection failed" for six different problems — a rejected certificate, a wrong password, a wrong username, an unreachable host, a closed port — and, worst of all, answered "Connected!" for a destination whose remote folder was missing or read-only, which then failed on every single photo. It now checks four things and names the one that stopped it: connecting, signing in, that the folder exists, and that the folder will actually accept a file. Each message says which field to change. When a certificate is refused, the message says why: that it expired and on what date, that it is self-signed, or that it is issued for a different host name. The upload queue reports a transfer while it is running. It used to go silent for the whole of one and then jump to done. Rows now show how much has been sent, how fast, which destination, and whether a retry is waiting. Apply Crop is reachable again on Mac and iPad. The crop toolbar wraps onto as many lines as it needs instead of running off the right edge — Apply Crop and Cancel were its last two buttons and so the first to disappear, which meant a crop you had just made could not be applied at all. A locked photo now says so. A frame protected in camera or locked in Finder carries a padlock in the grid, and a Lock button sits beside Delete. That lock blocks every write, not just deletion, so a rating, a caption or a crop on one was refused with nothing said; the app now names the frame instead of reporting a save that never reached the file. Moving between photos no longer flashes. The frame you are looking at stays on screen until the next one is ready, so stepping through a burst is a clean change of picture instead of a blink of the background. Culling a stack no longer disturbs the rest of the shoot. Tapping a stack opens the frame it is meant to, a stack never shows a count of zero, and no frame is skipped by the next and previous arrows after you have deleted from one. Zooming no longer closes the app on a photo smaller than the screen. It now holds the picture at fit, which is as far in as there is anything to see. A refused save no longer leaves a full copy of the frame behind. One real 319-frame shoot had 446 MB of invisible scratch files left by writes that failed; a failed write now cleans up after itself, and older ones are swept when the folder opens. FTPS connections now negotiate the newest TLS version the server supports, instead of offering only TLS 1.2. Fixed: a saved FTP password could become unreadable to the app, which showed up as "530 login incorrect" against a server that was perfectly happy to accept it. If a destination has been refusing a password you know is right, re-enter it after updating. Settings now links to the user guide at ai.sportsphoto.am/guide.

Stability fixes. The Settings and Uploads pages no longer go blank after scrolling, Restore gives a clear message when it cannot complete, and the Uploads list shows each export by name with its own scrolling list for exports and the upload queue.

Info is now its own page on iPhone and iPad. Tap Info to see the whole frame, its shooting details and the caption fields together; step through your keepers with the arrows and use Save & next without leaving it. On Mac the Info panel puts the fields you change on every frame first, with the shoot-wide fields folded away. Captions no longer add "in action" by default. Pick an action only when the frame shows one; otherwise the caption reads "{player} of {team} during the match".

HEIC photos now open instead of closing the app. iPhone photos are HEIC by default. The app had listed the format as supported but could never actually read one — HEIC files imported as blank tiles with no date, and opening one closed the app. They now import, cull, edit and export like any other frame. Deliverables are still written as JPEG, which is what a wire service accepts. Also in this update: a frame that genuinely cannot be read now says so on the photo instead of showing an empty screen, and a large amount of work on the crop tool, the landscape layout and import speed that had not previously reached the App Store.

Culling fix. - Deleting a burst now leaves you at the next burst. Standing partway into a stack, it used to jump ahead and skip frames - further the deeper into the burst you were.

Stability, and a way to tell us when something breaks. - Fixed a crash that could close the app at random - most often while culling or moving between frames. It came from a bug in the UI framework we build on, now updated. - The app can now send a crash report if it closes unexpectedly, so faults get found and fixed instead of going unnoticed. A report never includes your photos, file names, folders, captions or upload destinations, and you can switch it off in Settings under Diagnostics.

Stability and polish. • Fixed a crash that could happen when exporting a photo after making edits. The same export would then succeed on the next try — that is fixed at the source. • Fixed a crash while culling: deleting a frame, reloading a folder, or stepping across the edge of a burst could shut the app down. • Exporting a straightened photo now uses far less memory, so large frames export reliably on iPad. • The subscription price now comes from the App Store in your own currency, instead of a fixed figure.

Rebuilt the layout for phones. Every control on the culling and editing screens now fits the screen it is on: the blue and purple colour labels, Delete, Del Stack and Back were scrolled out of sight on a phone-width toolbar and are reachable again. Turning the phone sideways now gives the photo more room instead of less. The filmstrip opens centred on the photo you tapped, rather than at the start of the shoot. Fixed a selection control that could swallow a tap meant for the thumbnail beneath it.
