As elegant as a wine list and obvious from the first screen: photograph a label, your cellar files itself, and Caviste tells you what to open tonight. Caviste is wine cellar management made effortless: photograph a label, the bottle sheet fills itself in, and the app tells you when to open each bottle. Elegant and obvious from the first screen: nothing to set up, nothing to learn. A SCAN THAT DOES THE WORK Take a photo of the label (and the back label if you like): estate, cuvée, appellation, region, vintage and grape varieties are recognized and the bottle sheet is pre-filled in seconds. When the label keeps the grapes to itself, the app infers them from the appellation. You review, adjust if needed, done. "WHAT ARE WE OPENING TONIGHT?" Describe your menu in one sentence, the way you would tell a wine merchant: "a barbecue with beef and sautéed potatoes". The sommelier picks up to three bottles from YOUR cellar, explains each pairing, tells you which one is at its peak and which rack to find it in. It only ever suggests what you actually have. With no network and no subscription, just type a dish into the search box: your cellar sorts itself by affinity. EVERY WINE AT ITS PEAK Caviste suggests a drinking window for every bottle, read on five levels: the estate when it is a known one, the appellation (855 of them, Champagne cuvée tiers included), the region, the grape, then corrected by the vintage. The "Drink now" screen sorts your cellar by urgency: what to open now, what can wait, what is still too young. Turn on reminders to be notified when a bottle reaches its peak. AND WHICH RACK IS IT IN? Draw your cellar map as it really is: rows, columns, several units. Place your bottles by hand or let the app file them, and spot any one of them at a glance. The map reads three ways: by color, by peak, or by the bottles that have been sleeping for too long. A WORD FROM THE CELLARMAN On the bottle sheet: serving temperature, decanting if it needs it, the style of the wine and what it likes at the table. Written once per type of wine, not one more technical sheet. YOUR CELLAR, ORGANIZED Create your own storage locations (cellar, wine fridge, that box in the garage...), keep your inventory up to date, and find any bottle by estate, appellation, color or vintage with a single search. Six colors, orange wine included. ALREADY HAVE A CELLAR ELSEWHERE? Import it in minutes: a CSV file (a spreadsheet or another app's export such as CellarTracker or Vivino) brings all your bottles in at once, drinking windows included. Import is free. A TASTING JOURNAL "I drank one": the quantity updates and you jot down your impression in a few words. A bottle given away, sold or broken leaves the cellar with its reason, without deleting the record. The journal keeps track of it all, with your ratings out of 5, and your cellar in numbers: breakdown by color and region, estimated value, bottles ready to drink. FREE TO START A 7-day trial when you sign up, no credit card required: cellar and sommelier with no limit. The photo scan has its own separate allowance of 50 photos for the life of the account, trial included. Then manage up to 30 bottles and 3 sommelier pairings for free, or go Premium: unlimited cellar, scans and sommelier, bulk add, the word from the cellarman, your messages handled first, new features before everyone else, and a price that will not change while your subscription stays active. Caviste is an independent app. Your data stays yours: no ads, no reselling, one-tap account deletion, GDPR compliant. A comment, an idea? THE CELLAR MAP Draw your cellar as it really is: rows, columns, several units. Place your bottles with your finger or let the app file them, and spot any one of them at a glance. The rack reads three ways: by colour, by peak, or by the bottles that have been sleeping for too long. And from "Drink now" as well as from the sommelier, one button takes you straight to the right rack. A WORD FROM THE CELLARMAN On a bottle's sheet: serving temperature, decanting if it needs it, the style of the wine and what it likes at the table. Written once per type of wine, in your language, not one more technical sheet. SHARPER DRINKING WINDOWS The window is no longer read from the appellation alone: it goes through the estate when it is a known one, the appellation, the region, the grape, then gets corrected by the vintage. Champagne finally tells non-vintage, vintage and prestige cuvées apart, a sparkling wine with no year gets a window counted from the purchase, and "1er Cru" written after the name no longer drops the bottle back to its region. A great keeping wine no longer sets off the alarm: the sheet says "window passed" and for how many years, without shouting. EVERY BOTTLE HAS ITS OWN SPOT Moving one bottle out of a lot of six no longer moves all six, and the same wine can sit in two places: the sheet lists them all, and each one opens the map on the right cellar. NO MORE DUPLICATES Bulk add groups identical wines from the same batch, showing it and letting you undo with one tap. The app recognises a back label and attaches it to its front instead of creating a second sheet. And scanning a bottle you already own offers to add to the existing sheet rather than create a duplicate. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE • Orange wine joins the six colours. • When the label keeps the grapes to itself, the app infers them from the appellation. • When you enlarge the system text size, labels are no longer clipped. • Screen readers now reach the action buttons in the lists, and your password manager finally fills in the sign-in fields. • An update that is ready applies sooner, and you can still turn it down.
