NEW • An emergency screen for when a walk goes wrong: your coordinates in a form you can read out to a dispatcher, the local emergency number, how much battery and daylight you have left, the nearest shelters, and a one-tap message to a trusted contact. • 58 of the world's great trails are now in the app, from the Pacific Crest and the Continental Divide to the Bibbulmun Track and the Nakasendo. • A trail passport: every ~20 km of a great trail you walk earns a stamp, on a page you can fill and share, and on the map where you earned it. • Share a track as a 3D flyover — the map tilts and follows you over real terrain instead of a flat line on a still image. • Climbing spots on the map, and paths marked with the difficulty OpenStreetMap knows: hiking, mountain hiking or alpine. IMPROVED • Give your collections their own icon, and see how many people have been to a place before you.

NEW • Two new awards for the far end of the map: Seven Continents for setting foot on all seven, and Crown of the World for summiting the fourteen most famous peaks. Each opens its own checklist. IMPROVED • The app is a third lighter to download — all of the artwork is now lossless WebP, at the same quality. • Your track library is stored compressed, so saving an activity is quicker and a big history takes far less room on the phone. • Mountains keep their shape as you zoom in — the relief used to flatten out just as you arrived. FIXED • Finished share videos are now cleaned up properly. They had been surviving every sweep and could sit on hundreds of megabytes.

NEW • Share to wayly: send a place from Google Maps, Apple Maps, Safari or a chat, and it opens in wayly as a place card. • Share a whole Google Maps list and it becomes a collection. You see the places on a map first, rename it if you like, and only then create it. • Share a place collection as a story card: a night map of the area with the places you have visited lit up. • Open any waypoint or route in Apple Maps. IMPROVED • A trip's stops now sit in a swipeable strip under a timeline, with a card at the end for adding the next place. • Rescan your photos from Settings and watch a globe fill with the places they were taken. • A new About screen with ways to rate the app, write to us, and find wayly online.

NEW • Share your location as a link. Whoever opens it sees the route you are navigating and where you are right now, until you stop sharing — in the app if they have it, in a browser if they do not. • Road signs on bike and car routes: traffic lights, stop and give-way junctions and speed cameras along the planned line, plus a steep-grade warning at the foot of every climb that matters on a bicycle. • New ways to share: a satellite flyover of a track sized for Stories, a peak collection as three swipeable cards, and your summits and countries piling up over the map. • Geotagged videos from your library now play right in the photo viewer. IMPROVED • Store chains show their own logo on the map and on the place card, instead of a generic shop mark. • The Marmarosy collection follows the Ukraine–Romania border instead of an arbitrary cut through the massif. • The fog loads faster on launch — it is kept on disk instead of being rebuilt every time.

NEW • Events: plan a meet-up on one of your routes, set the day, the meeting point and how many people fit, and let others join. You hear about it when someone signs up, comments, or when a trip you joined is called off. • Long-distance trails, with their real source, length and ascent. Save a whole trail or just one section to your own routes, see who has walked it end to end, and share the chevron once you have. • Export an outing as a FIT activity for Garmin, and open it straight in Garmin's web importer. • Add a region, city or village you visited by hand — for the trips that happened before the app, or without your phone. FIXED • No more black screen after saving a finished activity. • The map no longer lurches in and out of relief, and the standard map stops drawing the relief twice. • Integrations stop claiming Garmin is connected when nothing actually syncs.

NEW • National parks on the map: every protected area wears its own badge, and tapping one opens the park with the places that actually sit inside its boundary. • A map legend. Every mark and every coloured zone explained in one sheet, built from the same list the map draws from — so it can never drift out of date. • Drinking water, mountain huts, campsites, viewpoints, guideposts, picnic spots, parking and pharmacies now read as themselves on the map. IMPROVED • The country grid on Progress is grouped by continent instead of one flat run of cards. Your home continent leads, and nothing reshuffles when a percentage ticks up.

NEW • A rebuilt profile screen: your photo is the subject, with your level and explorer title riding its shoulders, and everything else floating on a lit backdrop underneath. • Swipe between Collections and Adventures, take a stop out of a trip from the stop itself, and hold anywhere on a collection's map to add a place. IMPROVED • Ground you uncovered with a geotagged photo, or simply by moving, now earns XP as well. The map and the reward finally agree on what counts as explored. • Onboarding no longer waits on your photo library. The map opens straight away and the scan reports its progress as it runs. • Opening the app no longer stalls on a large library, and adding or deleting a waypoint no longer repaints the whole world. FIXED • Holding a point on a collection's map now adds a place — the gesture did nothing there before. • Places filed under a finished trip stay on the map. Adding one no longer made it disappear. • Trips stop drawing connections you never made: a leg now leaves from where a recorded track ends, not from where it started.

Mark a planned trip as done and the route you drew becomes explored ground: every stop counts as somewhere you stood, and legs count where they cross real terrain. Summits follow on their own. You can always move a trip back to planning. • Pin a photo by hand. Long-press anywhere on the map and place a photo from your camera roll at coordinates you choose — for film scans and old cameras that never recorded a location. • Every recorded track now shows its sport at the start, and route detail maps mark A and B. • Notification rows show the real award or level badge.
