Pinch to zoom in on any room. • Bigger homes really are bigger: 3, 6, 8 and 9 rooms as you climb the property ladder, including a kids' room, a dining room, a conservatory and a music room. • Buy, rent or take a mortgage at the estate agent. Every home is a real address with its own perks, and you can view it before you sign. • A new club gym on training days. Work out with a teammate and build your Foundation, which decides how long your career lasts. The work you put in young counts the most. • The corner café is a real room, with five local regulars you can get to know. • Ten new ways to meet someone: at the café, in the park, on a night out, at the hotel bar or after a sponsor event. • The wedding is now a day you play: plan it, walk down the aisle, go through the guard of honour, sort the seating and dance. • Your home has a time of day now: light, weather and who's around all change as the day goes on. • 18 redesigned cars and 30 redesigned boots, each with its own look. ON THE PITCH • A new match cam shows live football between the big moments, with a TV view and a tactics-board view you can switch between. • Your goals replay exactly how you scored them, and every other goal is filmed the way it happened. • See the live lineup on a pitch, with faces, ratings and cards. • Matches are lit for their kick-off time: afternoon sun, golden hour or floodlights. • The free kick comes in two separate minigames, and it now goes in about as often as a real one. • Two new header minigames, both facing the goal: The High Crane and Attack the Cross. • Penalties: the keeper now moves when you start your run-up, not on a timer. • Yellow cards count separately in each competition, so league bookings no longer get you banned from the Globe Cup. THE WORLD • The Globe Cup draw is now one continuous animation, from your league table to your opening tie. • Clubs buy players for the positions they need, and your club patches its weak spots, including in a January window. • Every stadium has an aerial view that sits in its own town, with day, dusk, night, rain and snow. • The record book now holds 47 records, including free-kick goals, headers and late winners. Every goal you combine for builds a real bond with that man, and you can spend an evening with anyone in the squad to build it faster — an hour with a mate is an hour you didn't spend on the training pitch. Get close enough and it shows on the pitch: the men you're bonded with turn up in your moments more often. Bonds fade if you neglect them, and leaving a club leaves you a memory rather than a friendship. Your best mate is no longer a name drawn out of a hat — he's whoever you actually built something with. YOUR CLUB SIGNS FOOTBALLERS Win promotion and the squad around you finally changes with you. Every summer your club moves on the players left behind by the climb and signs men aimed at the division you're actually in — and if somebody bigger meets the price, they'll sell your best team-mate out from under you. POTENTIAL IS A REAL CEILING The stars on your card mean something at last. Past your natural level every point is still yours to earn, it just costs what a point at the very top of the game costs. A two-star can still reach the eighties. It will be the hardest thing he ever does. YOUR COUNTRY PICKS ON MORE THAN ONE NUMBER National squads make sense now — no more a 90 and a 30 in the same fifteen — and they turn over season by season. Your own call-up reads your fitness, your availability and whether you're actually playing for your club, and the game tells you exactly which one you're short on. A MANAGER WORTH ASKING He answers like a director of football: the man ahead of you in the pecking order and by how many points, the danger man in Saturday's opponent, the exact boxes still unticked on your route into the side. Specific, and never invented. A HOME YOU CAN WALK ROUND Every property has been opened up — wider routes, and furniture that no longer blocks its own doorway or catches you on the way past.
