Meet Obie, your car's diagnostic agent: it runs the health check, reads your drives and answers your questions. Guided tests: Obie walks you through a check at the car and reads the result. Add a photo or speak your question in chat. Better support for slow and clone adapters, plus many fixes.

Guided tests. When Obie cannot settle a finding from the data alone, it names the one test worth running. Tap Run this test, follow the steps parked or on a drive, and Obie reads every second of it and gives the verdict. Six tests, from the three-point fuel trim check to the charging system under load. Recalls and safety. Open recalls, complaint summaries, safety ratings and service bulletins for your exact make, model and year, on the report and on the vehicle screen. When your symptom matches an open recall, Obie names the campaign and tells you the dealer repair is free. A push when your report is ready. Start a health check, put the phone down, and a notification brings you back to the finished report. Also in this release: clearer finding cards, a fixed place for every entry point, and a faster first answer.

The AI mechanic answers faster and types its answer in as it thinks, instead of making you wait for the whole reply. The health check shows you what it is checking, one check at a time, as it works through your car's sensors and codes. Sensors and codes now live in one Car tab with a switch at the top. A cleaner look: the iOS tab bar, glass top bars and panels, and placeholder shapes instead of spinners while screens load. Every list scrolls all the way to its end, clear of the tab bar. Say hi to the AI mechanic and it says hi back, instead of listing everything it found in your car. A new step in the first-run tour shows how one tap connects your adapter and how every drive feeds the AI health check. Links to scanmycar.app code pages now open in the app. Tap a link like scanmycar.app/codes/p0420.html and the app shows you the code, marked as opened from a link until your car confirms it. Fixes a bug where an on-board self-test could show as failed when it had passed. Monitors now show only the limits your car actually reported. Sign-in and cloud backup now go through api.scanmycar.app.

Obie investigates before it advises. The AI mechanic now reads freeze frames, in-use monitors and live sensor data straight from your car, names the most likely cause, tells you how to confirm it, and gives you the driveway fix first. A shop is the last resort, and only with a reason you can read. Every finding leads with LIKELY CAUSES, WOULD CONFIRM and FIX. Nothing is cut off, at any text size. The scanner reads more of your car: every freeze frame from every module, in-use performance counters, fault status flags, a full module sweep, and nine more readings including rail pressure, DPF regeneration and turbo data. Reads are faster and steadier across every protocol. Also: a rebuilt first-run tour, a live ticker while checks run, and a lighter touch throughout.

Performance improvements and bug fixes.

Rides now take care of themselves: • When you turn the car off, the ride ends and saves automatically — no more stop button. (Settings → Rides to turn off.) • Ride tracking keeps working with your phone locked or the app in the background. • The adapter list no longer reshuffles while you pick — your OBD adapter is pinned to the top, and the app always shows which device it's connecting to. • New amber icon, sensor alerts can notify you while the phone is locked, plus performance and stability fixes.
