Barely is an emoji check-in app — a quiet way to record how you feel and share a little of it with people who actually know you.
WHAT IT IS
• Pick an emoji. Choose the one that fits how you feel right now. That's the whole entry.
• Add a word, or don't. Attach a short note if you want to. No photos, no video, no links — nothing to stage for anyone.
• A few words back. Add a note and a short AI-written reply comes back to it — once a day, or every time with a subscription.
• Share with a small circle. Add a friend with a link or QR code, or join a group — only they see the emoji you post. Everyone else sees nothing, and nobody can find you by searching. No public feed to scroll.
• One emoji a day, to start with. No feed to refresh, and no reason to post for the sake of it. But if the day turns around, you can say so an hour later.
• Takes barely a moment. A few seconds is enough to see how your friends and groups are doing. No infinite scroll, no algorithm working against you.
• Focus on yourself. Barely reflects your own feelings back to you first. The point is noticing how you feel — not managing how you look to anyone.
WHAT IT ISN'T
• Not a social network. No follower count, no reach, no algorithm deciding who sees you.
• Not a medical or crisis service. Barely does not diagnose, treat, or monitor anyone, and it cannot help in an emergency. If you are in danger or crisis, contact your local emergency number.
• Not an attention business. No ads, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics watching what you do.
Barely is free to use. A subscription answers every note you write instead of one a day, and unlocks extra groups and AI-generated group icons.
Barely Premium is an auto-renewable monthly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account settings.
