What's new in this version: THE OUTPUT SETTINGS NOW WORK "Output folder" and "Open the result when done" were saved and then ignored by every tool, which kept opening the "Save as…" panel anyway. Not any more. With a fixed folder set, the tool writes there without asking and opens the result when it finishes, if you have that switched on. Running the same thing twice no longer overwrites the previous file: it comes out as "report (2).pdf". "Save as…" still always asks, on purpose: if you asked to choose where, a setting shouldn't take that decision away from you. FOURTEEN LANGUAGES The app goes from 7 to 14: Polish, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Arabic. Arabic reads right to left, with the interface mirrored. ALSO - An attachment that isn't a PDF now keeps its own extension. A .docx pulled out of a PDF was being saved as .pdf, so the system opened it with the wrong app. - Export to images and split by size honour the output folder too; when they finish, the folder opens rather than twenty images.

What's new in this version: TEN NEW TOOLS, ALL FREE The catalogue goes from 16 to 26 tools: - Remove active content: embedded JavaScript and the actions that run on their own when a document opens. - Remove annotations by group — comments, markup, stamps or links. Form fields are never touched, because deleting them would take the form with them. - Resize pages: bring every page to the same size, rescaling the content and not just the sheet. - Multiple pages per sheet: 2, 4, 6 or 9, to print on less paper. - Overlay a PDF on another one — a letterhead, a stamp or a template, above or behind the content. - Flatten: turn form fields and annotations into ink. - Split by size: cut a PDF into chunks that fit an email attachment, without ever cutting a page in half. - PDF attachments: list, add, extract and remove the files embedded in a document. - Visual signature: place your signature as an image on the page. It is a simple signature, not a qualified one. - Convert images between PNG, JPEG and WebP, with SVG as input. SIGN WITH YOUR CERTIFICATE (Pro) A real PAdES-B cryptographic signature, made with your own digital certificate: it says who signed and reveals any later change to the document. Import a .p12 and it stays in the app's own keychain; the private key never leaves your system. Whether the signature is qualified depends on your certificate, not on this app, and there is no timestamping yet (this is PAdES-B, not PAdES-T). It is not the same thing as the visual signature above, which only stamps an image. You can sign 3 documents before buying. CHAINED PRESETS (Pro) A saved preset is no longer a single tool. Compress, then watermark, then number the pages — up to eight steps, in one click or from a watched folder. BATCHES GO FROM 5 TO 11 TOOLS (Pro) Encrypt, remove active content, remove annotations, flatten, pages per sheet and resize pages can now be applied to a whole batch, and to watched folders. The encryption password is asked for at launch and never stored, so a preset that encrypts cannot watch a folder on its own. FIXED Images with transparency no longer land on a black rectangle when converted to PDF. A corrupt preset no longer empties the whole preset list. The 26 tools are free. Pro is still a one-time payment, with no subscription and no account, and everything keeps happening on your device: no file is uploaded anywhere.

What's new in this version: VIEW AND REMOVE METADATA See what your PDF reveals about you — author, the software that created it, dates — and strip it with one click. It also warns you if the file carries embedded JavaScript or an action that runs when it opens. The fields are really deleted, not left blank. Free, like the other 15 tools. APPLY TO SEVERAL FILES (Pro) One tool, as many files as you like. A problem file doesn't stop the rest, nothing is ever overwritten, and the originals are never touched.
