Your meal diary can now travel between your own devices with free iCloud sync, including photos, notes and My Items. Calorie fields, post-meal mood and Health integration data stay only on this device and are not synced to iCloud. Look back at when you eat and how often you tag meals as home cooking or eating out. AI prompts now organize your records and revisit dishes you have already logged. A calmer home screen and a latest-photo widget replace recording streaks, and changing a photo now asks what to do with its old location.

Pro now stays with you through a billing grace period, and after cancellation you can clearly see when access ends. Swap a photo and its old location is neatly cleared too. We’ve also made the location explanation match how nearby search works. Photo PDFs now use less memory while they’re being made, even when your diary has grown.

Now you can save where you ate. Names and places fill in from your photos, and the dining map helps you find that place again. Pro (1 month free) adds monthly looks back, photo PDF reports, new month-card templates, and the dining map. Logging, the calendar, backup and CSV stay free, always.

Your meal photos now get a few words about what's on the plate, like "Steaming bowl of udon." Note how you felt after eating with one tap, and see a short look back on each month. Captions are made only on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence, never estimate calories, and can be turned off.

• Export a backup with your entries and photos in one file, then save it in Files or transfer it with AirDrop. Restoring adds entries without deleting your current ones. • Record a meal without a photo: enter a dish name or note and choose “Record Without a Photo”. • Change an entry’s photo later by choosing another photo or taking a new one. • You can also save photos taken in the app to Photos. Turn this on in Settings; it is off by default.

• Set your own daily calorie goal and compare it with the day's total. The app does not recommend a goal. • Tag entries as Home cooking, Eating out or Takeout. • When enabled, this writes only the calories you enter to Apple Health as dietary energy. It does not read any Health data and is off by default. • You can also choose from past entries to add dishes to My Items. • My Items now keeps photos and notes with your dishes. Tap an item to record the same meal again. • The tabs at the bottom give you quick access to Calendar, My Items, Search and Settings.
