1,003 practice questions. The practice bank more than doubled, from 454 questions to 1,003. The new ones are written from the BMI's own booklet, Mein Österreich, chapter by chapter. A second reader checked every new question. Your progress carries over.

The first is Daueraufenthalt – EU, which ends the permit renewals after 5 settled years. See its requirements, with your years counted. Never miss a permit renewal: add the day your residence permit ends and the Dashboard counts down to it. It shows when the 3 month window to extend opens and reminds you in time. 454 questions, in the authority's own chapters. A BIGGER BANK, PROPERLY FILED The practice bank has grown to 454 questions, and every one is now filed under the chapter it belongs to. The chapters are the authority's own, taken from the syllabus the Staatsbürgerschaftsprüfung is set from, so you study in the same order as the official material. The questions themselves are ours, written from that syllabus and not by the BMI, and they can contain mistakes. FIVE A DAY, AND QUESTIONS THAT COME BACK A new Daily 5 picks the questions you are due to see again, and a run of days counts how long you have kept it up. Miss a day and a banked day covers you rather than wiping the run. Everything you answer feeds a schedule, so a question you keep getting wrong comes back sooner than one you already know. A PROGRESS SCREEN THAT ONLY COUNTS WHAT YOU DID What you hold, where you lose marks and every mock you have sat, on a new Progress screen. There is no score predicting whether you will pass, because nobody can honestly give you one. AN HONEST MOCK, AND WHAT IT LEAVES OUT The mock used to ask 18 questions and call it a full paper. It was not one. Six of the real 18 are about your own Bundesland, each of the nine Bundesländer writes its own, and this app does not. So the mock now runs the 12 it can honestly ask, at the same pace as the real sitting, and tells you plainly that the others exist and where to get them. It no longer says you would pass, because it cannot know that.

NEW: THE PASSPORT TAB The Austrian passport as it is: the real cover, the validity, the fee and where to apply, verified with the authority, and what makes it particular, from Österreich in Braille on the cover to the flag that turns into the expiry date when you tilt the data page. A line under the cover says when you could apply, at the earliest, from the same figures your dashboard reads. YOUR NAME AND PHOTO, AS THE HOLDER Add your name and a photo of yourself on the You tab and the Passport tab carries them, the way the finished document will. Both stay on your iPhone only, never uploaded, never synced. FIVE TABS, AUSTRIA ON TOP Austria now heads every tab, and the bar went from six tabs to five: News and Practice share one tab with news first, and your Standing sits on the dashboard, one tap from the meter it explains. A DASHBOARD THAT CANNOT OVERPROMISE The headline now reads straight off your meter, so the words can never say more than the bar does. When every requirement on your route is met, the meter says so: your part is done. CHECKED FOR SEPTEMBER The Austrian rules were checked again for September 2026 and nothing shifted under you: ten years of residence, German at B1, the Staatsbürgerschaftsprüfung, a secure livelihood, an irreproachable record, and the planned reform is still not law. The stamp at the top of every tab now reads September 2026.
