Scan the VIN, add labor and parts, and send a branded PDF estimate in about 60 seconds. Taxes for every US state and Canadian province built in.
AutoEstimate is the estimate and invoice app for independent auto repair shops and mobile mechanics. Scan the VIN, add the work, and send your customer a professional PDF estimate in about 60 seconds — from the bay, the lot or the driveway.
No desktop shop software. No per-seat fees. No paper tickets.
WORK IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Use AutoEstimate in English, Spanish, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Polish, Punjabi or Korean — switch anytime in Settings. Estimates and invoices still go to your customers in English or French.
SCAN THE VIN, SKIP THE TYPING
Point the camera at the door-jamb barcode or the printed VIN. AutoEstimate checks the VIN check digit, decodes year, make and model, and saves the vehicle to your customer's history along with plate and odometer.
PRICE THE JOB LIKE A MECHANIC
• Start from 70+ common repairs in 10 categories — brakes, oil and fluids, engine, suspension, AC, diagnostics and more
• Labor as hours × your shop rate, or a flat price
• Itemized parts with part numbers, quantities and condition (new, used, rebuilt)
• Shop supplies, fees, sublet work and discounts as their own lines
• Mark any line non-taxable
• Save your prices once — they fill in on the next job
TAXES FOR YOUR STATE OR PROVINCE
Pick your state or province and AutoEstimate sets up your taxes — sales tax in the US, GST, HST, PST or QST in Canada. Each tax applies to parts, labor or both, every rate stays editable, and totals are rounded to the cent.
ESTIMATES AND INVOICES THAT LOOK THE PART
• Your logo, shop details and license or registration numbers on every page
• Local requirements built in, like Ontario's 10% estimate statement and completion date, or California's list of replaced parts the shop kept
• Three PDF styles: Classic, Modern and Professional
• Documents in English or French
• Every document is a frozen copy with its own number — what you sent stays exactly what you sent
SEND IT, GET PAID
• Share the PDF by Messages, Mail, WhatsApp or AirDrop — always as an attachment, never a public link
• Turn the job into an invoice when the work is done
• Mark estimates as sent and invoices as sent or paid — paid invoices get a PAID stamp
CUSTOMERS AND VEHICLES
Every customer with their phone, email and vehicles, and every past visit one tap away. Call, text or email right from the job.
READY FOR TAX TIME
Export your invoices to CSV for your accountant — by quarter, year or any date range, with a separate column for each tax.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
