• Webcams: Schöllenen added, the road between Göschenen and Andermatt. The two webcams on the A2 north side now have the right names: "North portal · Göschenen" and "Wassen". • iPad: two webcams per row. In the detail view of a direction the trend chart comes first, at full width, and opens on 24 hours. • Scrolling the chart back no longer leaves an empty stretch at the start. • No more blank space when an ad fails to load.

• In the detail view of a direction the trend line now changes colour with the traffic: green clear, yellow slow moving, orange queue, red heavy queue. • The day at midnight now appears in every view of the trend chart, including 12 and 24 hours. • The hours below the chart stay readable with larger text sizes. • Webcam thumbnails refresh when you return to the Webcams tab or reopen the app.

• The trend chart now scrolls: drag it with your finger to see the earlier hours, up to 24 hours back. • Clearer time axis: just the hour number, with no truncated labels. • At midnight the axis shows the day, so you can see at a glance where the date changes.

• New: see when the current queue started, right on the direction card (“Queue since 14:35”). • Tunnel closure alerts now tell you the reason and arrive in your language. • Small improvements under the bonnet.

Gottardo Live comes to your car. • Premium with CarPlay: queues, waiting times and closures in both directions on your car's screen, with the trend of the last few hours and the official alerts. Premium also removes the ads. • New purchase screen with two tiers: No ads and Premium. If you already removed the ads forever, upgrade to Premium forever at a reduced price. • Notifications stay free for everyone.

Small things, done properly. • Removing the ads is easier to find: there's now "Remove ads" under the banner, and every so often a small reminder at the bottom of the screen that you can close with one tap. • You can manage your subscription without leaving the app. Settings → Purchases shows what you bought and until when, and lets you cancel or turn renewal back on. • The two webcams on the pass now show the right picture under the right name. • Buttons and links are easier to read in dark mode. • Automatic refresh now runs every 5 minutes. If you prefer a different interval, change it in Settings.

You can remove the advertising, if you want to. Everything else is unchanged — same data, same speed, same free app. But the banner at the bottom can now go away, in whichever way suits you: a monthly subscription, or a single payment that lasts for ever. You'll find it in Settings → Purchases, along with "Restore purchases" if you have bought it before on this or another device.

• Tunnel closures — including scheduled night closures — now show in red on the main screen and in the alerts, with a notification when the tunnel closes and reopens. • Notification settings: choose closure alerts, the queue length that triggers an alert (2–10 km) and the direction. • Implausible waiting times from the feed are corrected (e.g. 10 km / 10 min). • Smoother trend chart. The ad banner no longer leaves an empty space. • Anonymous usage statistics to improve the app — see the updated privacy policy.

• Alerts no longer disappear while a queue is on screen. When the official feed goes quiet, the alerts list and the direction cards now stay in agreement. • Waiting times published in hours, not just in minutes, are now read correctly — long queues are no longer underestimated. • Pull to refresh now always fetches fresh data. • Clearer trend chart: legend at the top, a distinct colour per direction and a smoother line. • Faster updates, with noticeably less battery and data use.

This update makes Gottardo Live steadier on the busiest days: • When the official source falters or updates in pulses, the app now keeps the last valid reading instead of wrongly showing free-flowing traffic. • The 24-hour chart is now driven by a single, curated data series — no more misleading dips and spikes. • If the official server is overloaded (peak travel days), the app automatically retries. • Longer texts are now fully justified for easier reading.

• Gottardo Live stays free and is now supported by a single banner ad, placed between the two direction cards. You stay in control of personalised advertising: the app asks for your consent and for tracking permission, and works exactly the same whatever you choose. • Clearer, more accurate traffic: queue length and waiting time now always come from the official Swiss (FEDRO / VMZ-CH) feed and are shown together. Apple Maps travel-time estimates are no longer shown as a queue — just a discreet "heavier traffic than usual" hint when there is no official queue. • Smoother 24-hour chart, without the occasional misleading spikes. • A new "Understanding the data" guide in Settings explains the status colours and where every number comes from. • You can now rate Gottardo Live right from Settings.
