This update focuses on two things: cleaner scan results, and more control over how sensitive each scan is. Sharper lens detection We reworked how the camera scan processes what it sees. Reflections from camera lenses now stand out more clearly against busy backgrounds, and there is less flicker as you move the phone across a room. In practice, that means fewer spots you have to re-check and a steadier picture of what is actually in front of you. Magnetic sensitivity control (new) The magnetic scan now has an adjustable sensitivity setting. Turn it down in rooms full of electronics, where everything reads high, or turn it up when you want to pick up smaller changes around mirrors, vents, smoke detectors and outlets. Your setting is remembered between scans. Clearer Wi-Fi results Device lists used to be long and hard to follow. We improved how devices are identified and grouped, so routers, phones and smart-home gear are easier to tell apart from something that does not belong. Unknown devices are easier to spot at a glance. A new look Hidex has a refreshed design throughout: clearer readings, more legible type, better contrast in dark rooms — which is usually where the app gets used — and a simpler path from opening the app to finishing a scan. Thanks for using Hidex. If something did not work as expected, or there is a feature you would like to see, write to us. We read every message.
