Handwrite notes and flashcards with Apple Pencil, then send them into Novis for spaced repetition study. Novis Penmode is a handwriting notebook for iPad and Apple Pencil, built for people who study by writing things out by hand. NOTES Multi-page notebooks with blank, lined, grid, and dot paper. Draw with five pen styles, a highlighter, and an eraser. Select ink with a box or a lasso to move, resize, or delete it. Add typed text boxes alongside your handwriting. Paste in a photo from your library or take one with the camera to annotate a page. Import a PDF and write on top of it. FLASHCARDS Make two-sided flashcards by hand: draw the front, flip, draw the back. Cards file into a deck and a category, the same structure Novis uses on the web. Cover parts of a diagram with masks so you have to recall the labels instead of recognising them. STUDY Pick a note, get a question about it, and write your explanation by hand on the page. Submit to see what you got right and what is missing. EXPORT AND SHARE Export a page or a whole notebook to PDF or PNG and share it from the system share sheet. ONE ACCOUNT WITH NOVIS Sign in with the same account you use on novis.study: email and password, an emailed code, Apple, or Google. Notes and flashcards you make in Penmode go into your Novis library, where spaced repetition scheduling picks them up. AI credits are shared between Penmode and Novis, so reading a page, generating flashcards from a note, and reading a Study explanation all draw on the same balance. Novis Penmode is the handwriting half of Novis. It does not replace novis.study, it feeds it. An Apple Pencil is required for handwriting and drawing. PLANS Penmode is free to use with your Novis account. Optional monthly plans add AI credits to that account. The price and the billing period are shown before you are charged, the subscription renews automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel anytime in Settings under your Apple Account.
